I did not start mentioning ET.. Narfi did.. I just said it would be release on Entropia Tracker this week.


Ontopic: Would be cool if EPTracker would come up with a "new feature", instead of just taking what is avalible on other sites and making it on EPTracker...

 

150 PED for a monthly banner is a little steap for a site with not even 1000 members...

Its 150 PED on Entropia Tracker as well.. and we have about 11.000 members...

However, I do see now why all your posts on Entropia Forum regarding Entropia Tracker were "dont you think its time someone else took over the tracker".., "It misses like half of my globals.. its useless".. and "Please bring back the counter showing how many are running your tracker"...

I do not try to derail your thread. I mearly replaied that Entropia Tracker is still working on the event system which Nerfi said we once were building. And that it will be online sometime this week.

Had you not come charging at me, I would have left it at that.
I did ask you if you wanted to take a look at some code for Entropia Tracker at a point tho - however I did manage to fix that particular problem my self.

Really? Are you fucking kidding?
Don't you think it makes sense pushing as many features as possible into the tracker?
Nomatter what if you had it first or not?
Obviously, you made a smart move adding it to your tracker and since it was a smart move, why should EPtracker not add it?
This counts for all features, these trackers are both what?
That's right, Global Trackers.
They Track globals.
Meaning, they do the same shit.
THERE WILL BE SIMILARITIES!

Whish list:
- CSV download of my globals.

- Make the client look for "location stamps" right after a person gets a global - prehaps audio notification "Please press P" or something. (this is something the user has to put in him self, since as you mentioned otherwise would break the EULA).
Then what you do is bind the location stamp to the global, this is something i think ppl would like to be able to set to private.

The idea is that miners in particular can see WHERE they got which globals on mining.
"Another tracker" were going to implement this but its been put on a shelf far far back in the toolshed.
What you could offer is then to make a sort of "lightning map" for people sharing their global locations so you can visualize on a map of calypso where globals are happening, prehaps even make this tie into your event system. (but this is a bit of a problem since landareas are no longer squares, when the other tracker were thinking about this - it was for the event system, but MA changed that so no need for that anymore.)

So in short.. make the user press P - then look for location stamps.. present the users globals with a dot on the map if possible.


Otherwise, look at other trackers.. I like what they have done.. (lol.. )..
Im sure you can come up with something spectarcular - I hear people are happy with the "per capita globals" on other sites - but would like a reverse "per capita".. (which mobs in particular is hardly globalling today - they might be good for a big loot is the thought)...

@wizzszz your doing a really good job with EPtracker. I know we'll see some more neat features. However, I think there was no reason to accuse starfinder of advertising. That kind of censorship is for the "other" forum. Besides like he said i don't think it was advertising. Maybe you could see it as making using of an opportunity but all harmless really. Better you worked out your differences, lifes too short for holding "funny" grudges against each other ...
