Just saw this when going to EntropiaReality: Shame, really. Despite the sometimes harsh nature of the discussions there, I actually enjoyed hanging out over there as well. I understand Brain's reasoning, though. I'll try and see if I can get in touch with Brain to see if we can assist him in any way.

I seldom posted there, but checked in 2 or 3 times a week to read posts. Many posts could just be ignored, but there was some valuable information posted there at times. Was sorry to see the we're closed sign when I stopped by tonight.
*L* My mistake. Force of habit, methinks. In any case, I did get a mail back from Brain. Apparently one of the addresses I tried did work. We'll see if and how we can try and help them out getting back up and running again.
Well... ER Administrator is the one to blame, sorry to say! What were you expecting ? I read enoumerous posts in that forum suggesting that ER was going in that direction. And what has been done to prevent this ? Absolutely nothing. In fact, the reactions to the ones who pointed out that the forum was going in that direction were always something like: 'nah... go die in a fire'... heh From the moment EP was born, it was clear that ER would suffer. Simply because EP listens to its whole community and is doing the things right!
Could not agree more. When the admin allows the inmates to run the asylum, it sounds rather silly to complain about the frequency of the riots. But I will regret not having access to the more juicy stories of old... I read those threads from time to time to remember certain things.
RIP ER. Was fun having some debates there. (and many were off-topic issues that even in the OT section, would never have been allowed on EF) True in the end the place simply became just a flame-fest, but as others have said, for better or worse, there was some good historical data housed there. And no, I don't mean the anti-Warants/whoever stuff. There were actually some really good tips/tricks/info I learned about the game from there. Ah well. One less forum to check daily, I guess.
Like it or hate it, you have to put "helped community members coordinate information so a pedophile was kept away from kids" in the plus column for ER. Thanks, Brain. It was nice to have a place where we didn't have to worry about discussions being taken out back and clubbed to death in order to preserve a new utopia... or a neotopia if you will. May your future be less stressful than your life with ER.
Need I remind you that when people poked fun at you being unable to get into the game, you thought it was pretty cruel? I fail to see how the closing of a forum is reason for joy. What's next, if you somehow end up getting banned here, you'll dance on our grave as well if it ever would come to that? Finally, if those who used to hang out on ER want, they are more than welcome to join us here while Brain works on the new ER. We might have some more strict rules here, but overall, I think none of them are unreasonable.
Now Now Pete, what gave u the idea that I was jumping for joy? You remember that i spend a whole lottof time there right and ofc I know Brain hates my brain but I dont dislike or hate him for it. Neither do I hold it against you for getting that ball rolling. I despise EF, Not ER or EPF. Annyway ER was known for being a flamefest forum to the extreme and even that can be fun. As you know ER was no forum for the entire EU community due to the nature and personality that forum had. I am all for EPF, I love this forum and the rules and they way it is run proffesionally. But I do not know what to make of a new revamped ER. That reminds me, I have Mike freyr perry on my FL again, gotto speak to him bout EPF and explain the marketting bennifits of joining EPF too:)

Nope sorry wont cry over the loss, It started as a good idea but was taken over by a bunch of kids f'in and blinding in the name of free speech. Free speech is ok until people take it to extremes and spend their entire time trying to shock, upset and provoke arguments for sake of it.
