Happened three times now, In one crafting session, so not a coincidence. I dont lose connection very often.. a ctd, your talking once every two months, my system can cope. Tonight, I thought I would craft, nothing too adventorous, Basic Power System. Ive lost connection now, 3 times. Wasnt even a ctd, was like Id just simply logged out, went straight to client loader, no nasty message from pc. So what.. ma making sure Im here?? Well I am, and to carry on logging in, turning around, accessing crafting machine, putting everything back in, ores etc..selecting bp.. its ANNOYING. Dont time me out please, dont even implement it if you dont trust me. Ta
Ok, timed out again :( Had enough now, browsing YouTube and Forums now. Not good though right? I now cant be bothered, that not productive
I read somewhere that unless mouse movement is detected, 5 minutes will be the max. Some have said that if they are close enough to an auction, just browse the auction while doing the crafting run. I, myself, have not tried it yet. But might be worth a shot.
I just dont undestand that logic? Its hands-free crafting..surely the mouse should be still? I admit, I wasnt even concentrating on some boring crafting run.. I was trawling the forums and YouTube. MA didnt know that though? I have 2 pc's, the first was been "correct", was browsing on the 2nd. That timing out is pants..utterly pants
Well, it wasnt, Im sat right here, screen right in front of my face. I have two pc's, two screens, none of ma's business what I choose to do on second. And I mean that, no 2nd avatar etc, no EU...I really am just browsing forums and YouTube....NOT claiming my brother is fapping me etc.. hehehehe (moron) So why time me out..Just to check Im here, well.. you did that..but its annoying.. so why bother implementing it? MyMouse was far more convenient tyvm
Well, you could use some nice little program to move your mouse across your screen every minute or so (even random), but that will probably be 3th party software interfering with the game.
I actually thought it was 10 min? Anyway dj, it happens to me too and all other crafters who use the in game AC. My thought is, that it's set up as a security for people to abuse the system (you can't just skill up during nights anymore ;) ) It sucks, I think too ... but hey, it's much better than non (not to be confused with nun)
It is 10 minutes, yes. MA/FPC is still studying what would be the optimal duration for this Auto-Mode Crafting feature. I believe they've implemented this Auto-Mode as a reply to the RSI risk, nothing else. At the same time, they don't want people to be afk crafting all night long, for some reason..., but one can be crafting all night long without the need to interact with the crafting machine, while browsing auctions for example.
True... system techs install a mouse wobbler on the machines for when a long update is pushed... thus preventing the screensaver from kicking in. But if you were to install and use one of those, you might as well just stick to a 3rd party autoclicker 10 minutes does seem a little short IMO. I was thinking along the lines of an hour. I mean... that is not enough time to break down professional standing barriers, is it?
is this in full screen or windowed. you get 10 min before a log out on windowed mode, if full screen and you change focus (alt tab off, use alternative screen) then its a lot shorter and possibly do to bugginess rather than intentional (other Directx apps are prone to it)
Yeah, in window mode. So I get 10 minutes? What do I do, wiggle my mouse every 9 minutes and 59 seconds NOT to time out? I guess I could.. but jeez
Actually I'm trying to see what to do - and my thought is that either you can just close down auto and do a little manually and then turn it on again or close down the whole crafting session and open it again and start over (the first choise sounds easiest ... ) :) Others who found out what to do?
Any in-game movement resets the timer, even just a mouse wiggle but you should get a 20 second countdown (not much help when I'm not looking at it tho).
While entropia has focus it has a non activity timeout of 10 minutes. When entropia has no focus i think there is an automatic disconnect after somewhere between 1 and 2 minutes. This has always been there. So far i have done things like rearranging my storage (still an ongoing project) after the mess MA made of it with the rollout of VU10 or indeed browsing auction. Chatting sucks though since the focus jumps of the chat screen every craft try. Cheers Siam
I don't have so much of a problem with the activity check as with the fact that you can't even chat properly while crafting this way. Each "click" will take the focus from either the normal chatbox or PM window.
I agree, sucks u cant do runt longer then 10 minutes without using 3rd party software. 1 hour would be better :)
I opened a support case about this with two suggestions. I suggested to make the automatic click so that chatboxes do not lose focus and also to count the automatic click as player activity. The reply was that the matter is being looked into already, but there is no eta about changes and no telling what exactly they will change. As this is actually the same reply I got when I suggested to fix the refiner color code so it fits again I have a good feeling about this.
i dont think MA want away from keyboard skilling, so i dont see them changing the basic requirement that you have to show you are around within ten minutes
