So, who is up for buying it ?
Wonder how much actual work you can get done by MA, or are you allowed to provide your own stuff?

My understanding from inside chats from way back when, is that there would be "input" from the Monria purchasers, but you could not have your own development team. This was also to be the case with any other major purchases going forward ... such as asteroids, planets, moons, whatever they want to call them. MindArk would use their own development team, and Monria signed the first of what was called a Marketing Partnership agreement (if I recall that correctly), which is somewhat of a mini-PP agreement without full development control.

Yes that's what is supposed to be the deal, but what if I was able to create stuff for on the planet myself and MA just had to implement it? I guess that would be good for me (as I would get stuff done quicker and good for MA as they would have more time for other stuff.

Not saying I can do much in that respect, but it might be a suggestion.
Then again, it would be another 'partner' nagging to MA to hurry up with stuff.

  6. It can be done remember that Jamira built the apartments for Monria. So my guess here is that since they are limited being a mini-PP they still can submit their own stuff. The true limitations comes in where they have no input in where and what can put on a given land area. They need to follow what MA wants done with the theme of an area.

Edit: Also with that the smaller land area and mini-PP are not given the development package MA gives to PP.

As far as I understand input from the buyer rather meant initial shaping of the estate before launch and not really suggesting a continuous development process influenced by the owner, which is one of many flaws of the "moon" concept.

Pricecheck? What do you think it's worth? Anyone interested in a coop?

Wait, wait! The story of the apartments went another way. When Akoz bought the right to manage the intended moon Monria he was invited to present ideas, suggestions, stories, designs etc. He asked me for some concepts for apartments (sketches). I offered 3D models to him and he asked MA if this would be okay. Later they used my models as blueprint for the original Monria apartments. I don't know if the apartments were the only 3D stuff Akoz delivered to MA. At least everything was under control from Gothenburg.

The most interesting question regarding this issue is: "Why the hell does Akoz (and his companions) sell Monria?" No profit probably?

Regarding coop: I am in with 100 PED

    There are other intresting questions:
What's MA's position in this deal? (The Monria Investor Group can only offer the right to manage the moon, not the moon itself, if I understand it right.)
Will this be a RL trade (ir@monria.com) or will we see Monria at auction again one day? What I remember from the past is, that RL trades are not allowed. So probably the moon will be purchased like a landarea ingame?

Btw. I doubt that any further development is scheduled for the moon. It's part of Calypso ... Calypso's satellite even. And I doubt they will accept further interferences from the player base. I guess they were pissed off enough from the mails I sent to Gothenburg ;-)

  13. Been waiting for this announcement for a few months, great to hear they finally are going public with the sale.
Monria Hub shop should see some increase in value I hope.

  14. so which estates does this sale include if it doesn't include the shop? Does it include any of the apartments or shops in them?... or have all of them been sold already? This selling estates within estates thing gets a bit confusing since so many deeds and sub-estates are involved.

For me it sounds like the whole moon administration is for sale. Not only special parts of it like shops or apartments.

It was made clear in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) generated by MA that Monria is not part of Calypso, but rather a separate entity.

Thought I would post the link to the FAQs as a reminder of the information which may answer some questions.

At least I had to deal with MA/Calypso/dunno what staff. Think what you want or whatever MA tells you somewhere. MA built that moon and it's MA's property. Maybe not part of Calypso. Who cares?
MA told Akoz and his co-investors that the moon will be a crater with some dungeons and a few buildings. They told him how much apartments and shops were allowed and what not else (the luxury suites were an idea of my sister). Probably this silly Cutullu-theme was Akoz' idea, dunno. But that was all.

I completely understand, Jamira, and you're right ... regardless of any information MA puts out there, bottom-line, MA owns it all, and those who have planets or asteroids or moons or any other type of real estate purchased that is a part of the platform, it seems it's basically leased by the purchasers (via contract) to utilize the platform that MA owns to develop their themes (PPs), or give input of ideas to "potentially" be developed (CND/FOMA, Monria, etc).

As far as who everyone deals with regarding staff with the real estate like Monria, it was mentioned in an interview done with one of the MA/Calypso staff/developers published at this forum, that they sometimes do development work for other entities beyond just Calypso, including Monria, so it's understandable that you or the others with Monria would have interacted with the Calypso development team.

I'm aware of some of the issues that the Monria team had during development, so I'm in total agreement with what you shared Jamira, although I like the Cuthulu theme and thought it was unique. I really wonder why Akoz and the other investors in Monria are giving it up since it's said that there's a revenue stream.
