Yep, will do. For now I forgot to take photos of the monster I got from my last test with 0.1 mm. Because I was a bit busy with TESO all the time. ***ROLL EYES***

Next step will be to start from scratch again and keep records of everything we do and pay. No more experiments. I have a good model now. That means no further rework on it, just slicing to get smaller, printable parts and add some holes for connection elements to assemble this single parts in the right way. This time we will print the whole figure and glue, fill and sand it. Than paint it as one piece.

Hopefully it'll lead to project phase 3 with my Ullas from EU and Skyrim ... but I'm afraid this will take ages.

 

I start pretty dull. I switch to Beretta M9. Since I got holsters now for Tamara I need pistols wich fit to them. I found a free model. Now I have to make it fit for printing:

Looks good so far. But needs some reworks because it has open geometry, intersections bla bla ... you know the shitty part meanwhile. But I need a solid model to be able to merge the pistols with the lady. Cross fingers it'll work!

This time I will reduce the size of the single parts to reduce printing time per part. So probably we'll end up at ~20 parts. I will start to slice her tomorrow.

Okay, Tamara is sliced. Now I will improve the cutting sites a little bit. It's planned to put two pieces of printing wire for easy adjustment at each of this sites. Furthermore I made flat cavities at each side to facilitate the glueing process.

 

***Side note regarding age. Last night I read something in chat window in TESO:

Well, problems again with the cheap Chinese printer ... I decided to be what I've learned: a mechanical engineer. I unscrewed the printer head and inspected the faulty design. It's really cheap. On my way to repair it I was a bit rough :-( But a new nozzle is ordered already.

All in all I'm on a good way. I will reduce sanding and increase filling instead. It's way easier and will bring up smooth surfaces. Pictures will follow when the nozzle fucked goddamn bullshit issue is solved.

Since it'll take a while until I'll start with my Entropia Universe Ulla there's no need for flurry ... take your time. Maybe one day I will send my models to you for printing ;-)

 

Well, I guess you should start your own thread as soon as possible about that cheap printer. I would become your fanboy immediately and compete to OZtwo with "likes".

For now I contacted the modeler if he would like to become kinda partner for further projects. Fortunately he agreed. That sounds promising for the bigger 800 mm statues.

I sent requests regarding copyrights to MindArk and Bethesda/Zenimax few days ago. No response so far.

 

Damn, it's harder than expected. The new nozzle wasn't the main problem. The heater between extruder and nozzle has a leak and a cable was ruptured:



Well, this time I ordered a new heater. But slowly I start thinking about another printer.
