Don't really like that asian style combat moves but in general this game could be interesting: http://www.black-desert.com/faq/
Looks very pretty. What was it specifically that interested you the most about it? If Toulan bombs before launch I saw we all play this instead ;) Wistrel
Actually the "liveliness" and details of the game world with the prospect to explore it and have a lot of options ("sandbox", mounts, siege battles, ...) I really like details and consistency of the world to explore, I like playing on a rather small scale, exploring a complex world fond of details and secrets instead of developing the super hero to the slay the super-evil demon that is about to swallow up the whole world by next week.
Forget post #1. Black Desert has made an awesome development and will be fully released in NA & EU next week. And we will start a guild in Black Desert, so if you are interested in that, watch this thread :) >
Hmmm ... this trailer dosn't look promising. Graphic is of pretty low quality, no story, all about fight only? ... why the hell should I try it? Tbh THOSE are trailers: > ... and they are kinda three years old.
The TESO trailers are cinematic, actually a short movie. Other studios make complete and great games from what Zenimax has spent on their trailers only. The trailers are nice of course, no question, imo still not necessary when with the same money you could make the game better. The Black Desert trailer is in-engine gameplay footage. The level of detail, consistency, and look & feel of the game world certainly is amazing, and its gameplay is much more MMO than TESO's half-hearted approach in order to still somehow satisfy the single player Elder Scrolls fans too. The combat system of Black Desert is rather comparable to the one of for example Dragon Age Inquisition, more skill-based, less point and click. Which game is better, in the end that's a matter of personal taste. Black Desert is 30 Euro, so not that expensive to find out whether it's enjoyable or not. Black Desert has the peculiarity that you cannot choose the gender of your character freely but character creation itself is free (after registration) and available already: https://www.blackdesertonline.com/events/ccm/ >
I understand. At least it'll always be a decision of individual taste. In my case: I hang out at TESO all day. Watching the Black Desert trailer I decided to not test the game. Now you handed in the character creation later I know definitely that I will never test it. Because of the asiatic style of armours and weapons. But that's my personal taste ofc. Have fun there!
Total noob @Dahlia Gray is just starting in Black Desert, and streaming it, so that might be a way to check it out: http://www.twitch.tv/ludophiles
