So the other day there was a release with some cartoonish looking avatars in armour. Can't find the thread, but it seems that's not the only place where MA is using a cartoon look. I got my inactive mail today featuring the following graphics: I'm not sure what this indicates. Perhaps a change from "ZOMG, CryEngine" as a marketing point?
First time I saw the new artwork was when the new OJs came out.. prolly a new artist they have on staff?
It's just to hide the bad ingame graphics I think. That's not the fault of CryEngine but the fault of bad modeled and textured content. I saw the new OJ and thought: "WOW! Must have!" But it looks shitty ingame. Additional it isn't tradeable anymore. Just another fail ...
Yeh they have an artist on staff or on commission. I don't know but I think the same person who does this and stuff like the compet art and the CLD art also does the comics. Likely they write the stories too. I still have suspicions it is a player.
Sadly this doesnt mean anything. I still know of people that "work" for MA as freelancer. Just for fun or because they hope they can change something. Cheaper for MA. ;p But I wish them good luck. They are the good people.
This one was in the header of the last support email I got. (auto response about case being registered) I like these new graphics! Just wish they worked on fixing the broken clothing in game... (at least the RT caps got fixed )
When I see something like this I always wonder what the idea is, the concept, why is it like this? Better than "mature" line of ads?
Well I guess they know that the playerbase is largely late twenties to 40 somethings and that these people have enough disposable income to afford Entropia. I guess it makes sense that they show depictions of slightly older people in the adverts. It is just a shame about the wording. It makes the game sound like Second Life... that said, last time I saw a SL ad it looked like they were appealing to the IMVU kids with vampires and stuff in the advert
New adverts I didn't see before.... one cashing in on Game of Thrones tag lines, the other talking about not playing safe... :O well certainly Entropia isn't that safe from a cash perspective... at least they are being honest :D
Aren't they about a year too late with the GoT one? And maybe they didn't see it through to the end, but GoT started as something amazing. But when the writers of the series ran out of original material, the quality took a nosedive. Hmm, what "MMO" story does that remind me of?
