ComPet: Behind The Game The ComPet Shop: Currencies ComPet uses a real cash virtual currency: Project Entropia Dollars (PED). The PED currency is the main unifying factor between ComPet and Entropia Universe. It should be noted that accounts from Entropia Universe are not pre-registered with ComPet accounts, and that it is not currently possible to move PED directly from Entropia Universe to ComPet (or visa versa). In the ComPet Shop, players have the ability to increase their PED balance through real-cash deposits. Deposited PED can then be exchanged for gold and diamonds in ComPet. Gold and diamonds are ‘soft currencies’: they do not represent real-world monetary value. It is perfectly possible to play ComPet using only the soft currencies. Here is a quick overview of the currencies and their uses in ComPet: Gold (Soft Currency) Used for: Acquiring buildings. Acquiring pets. Acquiring pet abilities. Getting updates for your buildings. Setting pets on Quests Levelling up pets Training pets in The Gym Speeding up replenishment of a pet’s health Obtained from/by: Mines Defeating Basic Battlepack Holders in The Arena Defeating AI pets The ComPet Shop Raiding a player when they are offline Diamonds (Soft Currency) Used for speeding up the following processes: Constructing buildings Training pets in The Gym Research in The Library Obtained from/by: Certain Quests The ComPet Shop Defeating AI pets (occasionally). The ComPet Shop Supplementary Note to Closed Compet Beta Testers: The focus of the first Beta period is on testing basic features and stability. As such, the ability to acquire PED through real-cash deposits is currently disabled. Source
The mobile market is as saturated as a teabag that has been used a few thousand times. If they wanted to branch out into mobile gaming MindArk should have done so 5 years ago but as usual the short bus has been and gone and they are waving after it running like a heavily sedated asthmatic. MindArk is run by a bunch of fucking clowns.
hmmm... so you can put ped in, but not take it out... wouldn't that make ped a soft currency too, somewhat?
So the main connection between the 2 is defined by 3 characters.... I'd ask what the point of connecting them at all is but I can't see the point
you cant put in or out untill after it goes live. Currently any ped in the game is just what is given you when you start. When you start they give you 20 ped + 16x 5ped battle packs = 200ped total you start the game with in beta and there is no outside source for more, you can only win it by playing ped pool battles.
It is so repetitive and boring (after intense testing), as I have played such games before. 1 or 2 arena fights were decent (on the PC), but this is not the "action" I need when I want to play mobile games. It got the look & feel as if 1 guy did all the work for this unity game. Not saying it looks shit but this whole concept is outdated and not what I expected from a company in 2016, that finally "put all their effort (?)" into the mobile market to "make a pretty penny". The "cashout" option is / will be the only uniqe thing about this overused game concept. If it ever leaves beta stage, that is... ;P Skill pets, scarifice pets to skill up pet, click click click, build house, click click...as Father Jack wrote, MA is waving after the Candy Crush train, that has left the station looOooOooOOong ago...MA trying to catch up by foot... Alas, because of ComPet "development", EU and Compet "development" will suffer even more from now on. This might end up as a niche product and once connected to EU (items, skills etc.) the rich fooks might support compet just because to receve item X inside of EU, for sacrificing a level 100 pet inside of Compet. Compet is a complicated version of the strongbox. You should have stayed with the 3D casino and its EU items, that offered so much more joy and... j/k
