Fanbois: What am I doing wrong?

I agree with some above...real cash, can't duplicate it. Yes we might not make tons of money but I do like playing with money and video games at the same time.

It's fun hunting, listing on auction, getting proceeds, etc.

 

Yes, that's what I want too. In the past we HAD it. Steaks for one buck. And yes, the grass WAS greener. Such a beast existed once (from my knowledge). I'm sure there are tons of good reasons for all the changes since than. But finally this changes kicked some folks out of the game.

 

Seeing as how this forum is a collection of active and former players, many of which are upset at MA or don't like EU anymore, what ONE change could MA make that would cause the most happiness?

 

It's past the point of no return and any confidence I had that MindArk were even half-competent were shattered the month or two I played after coming back. I'm well out of it now though so it can crash and burn for all I care...

Many of us fought for a better PE/EU. Because we loved it - like you did, I think. Are you the one who can answer NotAdmin to his initial question? Don't ask us. We've made so many suggestions during the past ...

Uphold promises made in the past... all of em... and get those upheld in the next 2 years or less... that is more than one thing, sure, but not really. Also, take pre-emptive action to destroy in game corruption.

 

It's far too late for that. MA are like a ship without a rudder, but with a few ores still pulling in the water...but the ores left are all pulling in different directions. It's no longer a question of if the ship will sink but when. In the old days MA were able to ride out the storms because they had a small player base that believed in the project...and deposited a lot and often...they have killed that and replaced them with people that deposit little, or not at all.
They replaced markup on mats from hunting and mining with a BP that requires nothing but money and an account, which really is about as close to a casino as you can get without calling it a casino.
Looking at what's left these days, never mind PE, or EU....I'd call it EC...Entropia Casino....and for the record, if I'm going to gamble, I'd rather hit the real casino...better odds and I don't have to wait months if I happen to win.

 

Not to jump in here or anything but you kind of pointed out why you don't play anymore. You simply got tired of the game 10 years ago. It was a short lived game for you which you had fun while it lasted and simply moved on -- sort of.

We talked about this before where some are still having fun. Some day, yes, I will find EU boring and leave the game. There is a a key word here which you and many others simply have not done. Of course you all hate the game. You got bored of it and will put it down any way you can find. What you really need to do is just move on. simple as that.

I sure hope that when I do leave this game I can leave it completely and not spend year after year remembering the 3 months (ok me 5+ years) I played in game.

Again OZtwo: None here "hates" the game. Vice versa! The reason for being still here for me is that I loved the game once. Since you are still active and love to play it just answer NotAdmin's initial question instead of abusing others as haters. Folks like you were meant by the question.

 

Wait, we had this mission for Beer once. And there was this camp of smugglers once with an arena hidden by a camouflage net. Thouse were interesting stories.

I do this sort of thing for fun. Explore, look for views that between CryEngine and MA's continuous tweeks these days never seem to look the same from one month to the next. So fpr me there is always something new and even newly worked areas seem to show up at a rate faster than I care to consume. I have still not been to 2 of the planets. If I had weather I'd be like a pig in mud ;)

As many of you know, I don't "play" at least not the way MA likely intended. Sure I'll shoot the odd thing, mine some baby bombs from time to time but really I log in to wander round, look at the view and relax. This won't help any of you with re finding your love for Entropia. I can only talk of the things *I* love. I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I suited up and went on a "hunt". If I do anything like that it is some low level super short mission that involves killing a few 10s of mobs. I have no interest in hundreds of mobs. That would eat into my exploring time. I like talking to people too and seeing what goes on in Rookie chat etc. I am happy.

I have a friend who doesn't understand me. He gets fustrated that I seem to like games but according to him I never play any good ones. There is a reason for this. I have a fundamental... personality damage? maybe? In short I struggle to play games sometimes if there is something else I could be doing. So the majority of my "gaming" happens when I am too brain derped for anything else. Entropia is comforting and familiar. I don't need to think about it. I know it. So Entropia (and my 3DS) is where I go for the final derp. This of course fustrates my friend who likes really challenging games. I tend to feel like if I'm going to challenge myself I could expend that brain time on something more productive. Yes I know I am odd. I don't ask for judgement, help or advice. I am just saying that is how it is.

Your screenshots form the past showed the true alienated world of Planet Calypso. No matter where you pointed your camera at.

CE2 feels so random generated at many many areas by now.

 

Now now, OK so you may have played a bit more than 3 months (just making a very stupid point) but still you did ask my opinion and well it is true isn't it? I'm not trying to put you down or anything here. You simply got tired of the game and have not moved on as we talked about months ago. Hell I even sided with you here. The only difference between us two is that I would have left a long time ago if I got bored.
