If you would like to sell some goods, but preferably without the hassle of using the ingame auctioning system (which can be extremely expensive for certain items with high markup, or when you are trying to sell items with low markup), give our new system a go. In the navigation bar, you will find it next to the User CP. You will be required to fill in your ingame name before you can sell any goods. Known issues: At this moment, it is not possible to use BMP images, so please convert your images to JPG. It is also not possible to change the details of an auction after you submitted it, so be sure to verify all entered data is correct! It is not possible to end your own auctions. Possible bugs: We've had to hack the plugin used quite heavily in order to get things to suit our needs, so I'm expecting that a few bugs might come up. If you find any, please let us know, and we will address them where possible. Availability: For the time being, we offer this service free of charge to all of our registered users, though in the future, we do intend on making it available only to paying subscribers of the forum in order to help us cover costs a little. Disclaimer: Please be aware that EntropiaPlanets has absolutely no control over verifying a seller or buyer's ingame identities, or the transactions made afterwards, and use of the auction system will be at your own discretion and risk. As a seller, you commit yourself to an actual sale. As a buyer, you commit yourself to a binding bid. We have implemented logging, and so we can do some basic verification to see the closing details of a transaction, however, this will not guarantee the system is 100% foolproof. In the case of repeated abuse of the auction system, we can and will revoke the ability of individual forumusers to use it. I pondered using some conversion, but in the end, I figured why bother? JPG is smaller anyway, and to the best of my knowledge, the other forums do not use it anyway, so I doubt anyone is really bothered about converting images themselves.
Bmps are accepted almost nowhere else, so yeah, why bother - It just sounded like "not possible yet" :)
