As our forum continues to grow and new products and features continue to be added, it seems only logical that we give provide our users with a reliable bug registering and -tracking system. This will allow for a more centralized way of tracking all reported bugs and suggestions, meaning we no longer have to check multiple threads and posts, but can just log on to the bug tracking system and see what needs to be done right there. It also gives you as a user the opportunity to see whether something you noticed has already been discovered, or perhaps is new. There is even a feature to report sensitive errors and bugs so they can only be seen by the forum administrators, but not by anyone else. The new bug tracking feature can be found in the navigation bar, under the EP Tools dropdown menu. I created a couple of pre-defined bug statuses (bug, feature request, suggestions, etc), and changed the system slightly to reflect our needs. It's possible to file a ticket for any of the major additions to the forum (The forum itself, the tracker, wiki, auction system, yellow pages, conquest system, and a generic section for "other"). As new features are rolled out, more products will be addeed to the system. We hope this new bug tracking feature will be useful to you, and I already have some additional ideas for the future with it. For the time being, have a look at the system, and feel free to start registering your reported bugs and/or suggestions. I'll be performing some other minor duties today, including an update of our iphone/blackberry/android system (server-side only. A few additions were made, which are not yet available in the client, but which will be rolled out soon, so I figure we'll just be ready for when it happens), and some of the promised changes to the Conquest system.
That has to be the most awesome thing. Really shows WHY you need a bug tracking system instead of just threads... VERY good job. *tip of hat* and all the smily faces you can find online.. (even a couple of rotating flaming gif's).. Edit: But where do you report a bug about the bug reporting tool? :-p :-p Not Found The requested URL /forums/vbug.php was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.entropiaplanets.com Port 80
Question: How do I set a bug as "only viewable by admins"? Just submitted the "double postings bug" (we all know it exists - but it should still be there)... And I had no option to say who should be able to see it.. ?
I only have the following options: User Name: Bug Title: Bug Type: Bug Severity: Product Product: Bug Description: Subscribe None of those have "private" as an option/checkbox.. ?
