Hi all so thought I'd kick off on this.

So far very very very VERY limited info myself on this. I've barely dropped more than a half dosen n00b probes and shot about 3 or 4 snables since loot 2.0. Based on this the loot seemed better than I remember but I appreciate this is really NO TEST AT ALL.

I was talking to San about the armour in #TheGate. We've so far not found any non-L armour that has a level attached to it where you can stop "decay as you go" (DAYG).

We are wondering if this hasn't been implemented yet simply (it wasn't in the VU notes - just the dev diary)? Anyone else found anything?

  2. Woah, hold your horses...Kim-o-fficial is pissed and comments on a single players loot ?!
Offers to drop ppls grievance on the "right desk" ?

Ima better initiate my next withdrawal...

I want to cut them some slack. This was a piece of work and nerves must be lying bare. I am happy that communication takes place (again) for as long as it's going to hold. I'm not on top of who is who, more staff are chipping in.

The new armour features were subject of various chats and most seem to agree on the understanding that it's not fully implemented yet.

OK nigher of the linked posts talk of the armour (moderation at PCF maybe?) but I'll believe you anyhow. Mr McC indeed it does seem someone cracked a bit at the loot comment. Must be hard being a MA bullseye. #sendAbuseHere

I meant in-game chats, quite a few are wondering. Nothing I know of got deleted from the forum these days. Some have begun decay testing, but I can't find a note on skills influence having started yet.

  6. they lowered the decay on the armor, so yes, it makes sense that they lowered loot return from the 90% down to 83% or whatever it is... the level requirment on the armors isn't in place yet, but the little dings on it vs 1.0 hit every time is definitely working.

The last few months I've been depositing via purchase of webshop boxes... not looted much from em other than a bunch of pills, pets, fireworks, etc. Since this loot 2.0 thing I've been combining the pill and ball buff things from the boxes along with some L rings I obtained a while ago to buff up and do mini-runs of 30-60 minutes with extra buffs on top of the rings... seems that doing this gives you ok returns... I think and is what they are wanting us to do... sort of go at it full speed all buffy for a short window instead of doing uber eco crap for hours at at a time...

    ;)

(just kidding but I have to admit I'm perpetually intrigued by just how many buffs people seem to have enabled)

  8. now I gotta see if that show is on hulu or netflix.

  9. buy some L rings off auction. Most of my current buffs are from some that a soc mate tted to me. :) The UL rings have higher actual buff level than the L rings, but if you just want to get 'a lot of buffs' go for the L ones to start out since they are pretty cheap... and so long as you aren't obsessed with being a barbie doll, changing what you wear daily, the decay on the L rings will be minimal... just put on the ring and never take it off so it won't decay. I think most buffs I picked up at once was 7 or 8 and that's when the auto buff kicked in that you get when you hunt over an hour or two... that added to the pill buff skill buff as a second buff. Not sure if system actually was adding the two skill buffs together, but both icons were on screen.

I spent a few hours shooting argoes yesterday. Loot was okay. Got a small 35 PED global, and a bunch of minis. I still think the game mechanics make for a boring experience, but at the very least it didn't feel like I was loosing my shirt off the whole time. I looted quite a bit of shrapnel, which allowed me to keep the hunt going for a while. I actually had an okay time, and might end up writing some fan fiction based on it :)

Does anyone happen to know a trustworthy pilot? I'd like to return to Cyrene, where most of my stuff is in storage, and preferably without getting looted or being forced to sell off my stackables prior to hopping on a flight. Also, does the trick of logging off while in hyperspace still work and prevents you from getting looted?

    Thanks!

Yes, it still works. Also, some of the most active ships have invested a lot in upgrading structural integrity, so much that pirates aren't bothering them anymore. Suggest to go with one of the top carriers when transporting stuff:

Thanks for that :) I think i might have John from Titans of Space on my FL somewhere. I recall buying a package with them many years ago, but doubt that's still valid. Still, nice to see he is still in business.

I've crewed on the Normandie before. Seemed a sound experience.
