This will be useful info for sure, do any of you have a list or something that tells you at what level evade you start to evade what mob?
Entropedia has a few graphs concerning Tantillion/Rippersnapper, Caperon, Chomper & Hogglo from some testing but I think that info might be outdated. Here's the link if you want. http://www.entropedia.info/Info.aspx?chart=Activity&id=11 If you want to find out, try start a test with a bunch of volunteers with various Evader Prof. levels. I would happily get chomped by something to help.
So to test this we just go stand next to a mob and let it try to hit us and see how much it hits at what evade level in a minute or so. This should be different for a lvl 1 evader and a lvl 20 evader depending on the mob, right? For example, for a Chomper it shouldn't make a difference if you have lvl 1 or lvl 10, but for a Combibo it should, right? The bigger the mob the higher the lvl you need to have in order to get less hits. So to get this info we will need a group of people with different evade lvl's and find a nice mob, and see how much each of them gets hit in a set period of time. Then we will need to do that for every mob out there. Lot of work, probably why it hasn't been done before.
As you surely plan to wikify this - why not simply creating something similar to a SIB chart where people can just enter the results of their test like: {{result|mob=Combibo|evaderlvl=15|hits-per-min=3}} And with the decades passing we will get a valid and reliable list... Another question that came to my mind: Do different mob maturities produce different results?
Yep planning to wikify that indeed and yes what you did with the SiB will indeed be great for this. I'll play around a bit with your code if you don't mind. No idea if the maturity of the mob has any influence on the evading. edit: Just to be sure, you are suggesting to make a chart like the SIB one for every mob, where people can add their results of their test in. So we will get a big list of all the numbers for every mob for different evade levels. Sounds Ok to me, let me do a bit of work on that. edit2: Took your code and played around with it a bit and so far came up to this on my testing server. Scale and stuff need some work, but you get the idea. All you would have to do is fill in your evade level and the times you got hit by that mob, and you will get a nice red line. Is that what you had in mind?
You might what to change the Axis, Evade going along the graph (seeing as nothing hits more than 40 per minute I'm sure) and have Mob Name Maturity .. .. .. .. .. ..|(evader lv)start to decrease .. .. .. ..min atks/min (evader lv)| or something similar.
Yep done that already it is up to 15 now. Still might be to much or maybe to little, but we will see what happens. I'll try to add it to the wiki here (not now, need to go to my mom for mothers day, maybe tonight). Not sure what you mean there, but the idea is to add the table to every mob, so the mob name and maturity does not have to go in it. The purpose of this thing is to find out at what level you start to evade mobs. Everybody needs to fill in their findings and we should be able to find out the right lvl for every mob. We will get a list of levels and numbers and there should be a turning point somewhere where you start to evade the mob.
it would be most usful, especially the additional data that might come from the research. the first thing to do is check that the hit rates are accuratly measured, which im not convinced are currently. need to get a number of complete noobs (ahem or family members to create new charaters) to test a selection of mobs. this might be especially tricky with higher mobs which will kill them quickly so thye'll need armour and/or fapping.
Mob Name .. .. .. .. ..2 Evader .. .. .. .. . . X evader combibo young .. .. .|20 Atks/min .. .. .. .. Xatks/min| <This being the point where you can't evade more attacks.
Yes that should be the ultimate goal, to have a list of every level of evade and every mob and see how much attacks each mod does for each level of evade. But we will need to gather that data first and that is where my table comes in, for now it will be just for collecting data (and look flashy with those red lines), the final product will probably be something like your idea.
Quite like that. But... I tend to agree to that. But what I would really like is a little 'button' with which you can exchange the axes (x/y -> y/x)... A mighty template could do that but surely you have to twiddle a lot with it. Would also be good to have a kind of 'project page' to gather data for all mobs (also good for looking up which mob can I evade at my level) and 'mirror' the data on specific mob pages accordingly (not completely sure how that can be done technically). So in the end to have something like (you know what I mean): Evade Level 0 1 2 3 ... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ... 98 99 100 20 19 18 * * * * * * * * ... . . . . . . . . . . . * . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * ... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * * * * * * * * 3 2 1 Hits/Min
