Excessive exploiting tolerated by MA (explained by devastatingVodka) :'D

Discussion in 'General Entropia Universe Discussion' started by McCormick, Feb 3, 2018.

  1. Exploits in here happen since 2001...some evil ones got fixed, some got tolerated and others fully ignored.

I reported many since ages...most are still working.

"Enjoy" just another one. Thank you devastatingVodka ! :)

How to exploit...the extreme way...tolerated by MindArk, as they cant afford to ban all the rich exploiters. (?) -_-

Sooo.... it isn't too clear, what I think they are saying is that if you relog after eating a certain combo of buff pills, the buff gets bigger than it should be after relog?

I have to admit (stupid) me never got into buffs but I see avas running around with about a million buffs enabled so I guess someone has either done the maths and found them to be worthwhile,... or everyone is just sheeping each other?

I can't help thinking "big deal, so a buff got more buffier" you still have to drop a ton of peds to make use of that that percentage gain on a percentage gain.

If I were MA I'm not sure I'd care either. After all, this exploit just encourages people to spend more money believing they are getting something extra. Where is the problem?

The issue I see with this is that it gives off the perception that MA could care less. IT could be the numbers shown in the game are wrong, and that the exploiter actually doesn't gain anything. But seeing the game says they gained from the exploit, people will believe they did. MA refusing to fix it gives off the impression that it's okay to exploit, as long as MA's bottom line is not hurt.

Ergo, the playing field isn't level for all players. That's not a nice thought in a regular MMO, but in an RCE that already has a dubious reputation (casino, MA's relationship with Skalman/Neovixen/Linzey, etc.), I don't think it's a good thing.

In short, yes, involved parties still have to "spend" PEDs. If loot stays bad, your only return will be skills and you might survive the fight longer.

A real interesting aspect could be PVP. Having someone running way faster...then again, you are probably right.

Even most of my (unfixed) exploits that I reported, still involve spending PEDs. ;p

So in the end, I would call it somekind of "unfair advantage"...anyway, this is Entropia. :'D

Most other online games usually fix such bullshit within hours, or days.

  6. I think it works like this:

a critical hit makes you shoot double the amount of damage for the same amount of peds.
now for a normal crit hit buff, you pay the price of the pill (or looted it from a lootbox)
but if you can somehow cheat the system (relog) so you do more critical hits than are actually allowed, then you enhance your eco at the cost of others. you didnt pay for the stacking of buffs and it's not how it's supposed to work. so you do more damage than you payed for.
in a shared event most damage gets most loot, so if you do a lot of critical hits that you didnt pay for, then you still get most loot at the expense of other players who didnt eat pills and relogged.

for reload speed it doesnt matter imo, since you are still paying the peds to do the damage. You just spend your peds faster. So you do a lot more damage with a higher reload speed, but you still pay the decay/ammo, unlike critical hits.

Good explanation from Spawn. Also good points from NotAdmin. Can't disagree. Indeed it tilts the playing field as you say. I was merely trying to say that from MA's point of view (the Benjamin's) it's all good and possibly even better so I can see why they would de-prioritise this.

From my perceived experience MA have always been better at fixing bugs if someone points out to them why it is doing them (MA) damage. This makes sense though, I guess it helps them prioritise.
