I figured perhaps this community might know a few things about old games. Way back when I was a wee lad and had hair (I'm guessing 1987-ish), my aunt used to bring home a Mac from work every so often. This was one of them old heavy things where the screen was also the computer: We got our hands on some games from a friendly guy in the neighbourhood, and spent hours playing stuff like Shuffle Puck Cafe, Dark Castle and Radical Castle. There were some others, but for the life of me, I cannot remember their names. So this is a long shot, but hopefully someone will recognize something. Also, feel free to post whatever game you are looking for :) 1. A submarine simulator. I don't remember much, just that it had an anti-aircraft gun you could man to shoot down planes. 2. Some top-down RPG/action game where you crashed on a remote planet and fought aliens. I really don't remember much more than that. I know this isn't exactly much to work with, but who knows? Thanks!
1. Possibly Beach Head? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beach_Head_(video_game) 2. Bit late ('91) but maybe Alien Breed? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Breed_(video_game)
Damn, I think I remember the games but not the names either :D EDIT: The submarine Simulator I remember is definitely Silent Service. One RPG I played a lot was Megatraveller but that doesn't fit the description. I can remember a top-down action RPG with a party of 4 where you crashed on a planet but not the name.
google image search: mac submarine simulator anti aircraft ;p and for the RPG...UFO Enemy Unknown ? @_@ The Mac didnt have gazzillion games...but you managed to choose the hard to find ones ;D

This was the 1990s. Like way before XCOM. Thanks, though :) Your image search suggestion might actually have given me what I was after for the submarine game: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/sub-battle-simulator-da
I'll give it a shot. I think I located the game, but this actually looks like it could be fun, too :)
