Narfi's Life after EU: Chapter Three - 14' Hiawatha Canoe

Thanks Wistrel, here is a camping trip we did with it last month,

July 20th, 2018

The stars aligned and we finished a plane early yesterday with next one not scheduled till this afternoon.

Sun was out and the lake was calm so we piled everything we could think of in the Honda trailer and strapped the canoe on top.

Paddled 5 miles up the lake to an island and camped on a cliff there overnight then paddled home this morning.

By the time we reached the island the wind had picked up and was pushing us along but the 18-20inch rollers with a few whitecaps made us glad to reach shore. Only got sideways to the waves twice and water splashed over both times.

Calm and foggy this morning so was an easier paddle back even without the wind on our backs. Similar times both ways of roughly 1.5hrs.
