Ha ha! Having slept on it I'm still surprised that he's selling. Moreso if the price was 10M peds. I can't imagine that's a particularly big amount in his world, and I'd have thought he'd have kept CND simply for nostalgia purposes.
Not only that - but if it drags in as much money as 'they' say I wonder how he would sell a gold mine like this ... I understand if he needs the money here and now, but Would it not be quite easy to 'save up' from the amount he seems to earn every month? Anyway, my guess is, that he feels he wish to spent 100% of his time and energy getting the planet working. Afterall, I'm sure thas has been and is far more expensive than CND ever was. He must be in need of the cash now - otherwise it would have been smart of him to ask MA if it would be possible to create Dome-deeds - and then sell those instead ;)
Isn't that effectively what Deathifier did by splitting up TI into various LAs? Another thought - When ND sold that Egg to Deathifier for around $70,000, didn't he announce that he was off to Ibiza for the summer? Actually, I know he did because he also said something along the lines of "I'm gonna share it with you all." This led me to speculate on EF that he was going to stage some sort of competition with prizes of a gamer party in Ibiza - something that was dismissed by the community and on reflection I agreed it was unlikely. Considering he might need so much money, blowing a fortune on a summer-long holiday in Ibiza seems an odd thing to do. And considering he has so much work to do with Rocktropia, actually taking a summer-long holiday anywhere seems an odd thing to do.
Money was beeing used to promote a new song by cheri moon and make a video clip for it. Its his wife. He said he would use it for that...
I hope that whoever get this piece of real estate takes it, improves it, and does well with it. There is a lot of promise there if that person or organization runs it right. Heck, if I had the money, I would buy it. :)
5 Million PED is insane... Why spending 5 million PED for CND when you can get whole planet for ~8 million PED?
Well, to own a planet there is some more involved, like people to make the content, and you have to prove to MA that you have the budget for the first 2 years ready. Anybody with a lot of cash can buy CND. All the content for CND is made by FPC so after the buy it only costs to maintain it, like any other LA.
So the Asteroid Space Resort is on sale by auction. You know what this means - Daspletor and Cornoaterian (spelling?) DNAs are not part of the deal.
Unless ND deliberately decides to destroy them before selling (which of course he won't), they are part of the deal. DNAs can't be removed and replaced at will.
Fair enough. I did not realise this fact. I'd got visions of both mobs vanishing from the Asteroid and popping up on Rocktropia.
