Is it no longer possible to kill a mob and loot a uber item in these type of events? Instead you loot boring tokens and save them in the hope that you can exchange for a nice item? I remember the red banana event seemed exciting for some reason but this one doesn’t.
Sure sounds like it. I always really enjoyed the old loot window, especially when there were items in it. Somehow that was so much more exciting than just seeing a line of text. I guess that all changed as well because of performance reasons (the loot window should have probably auto-stacked PEDs, but still).
The loot window is still there, you can choose it in the options. I'd also prefer it if only it would stack things, display PED value (total and last loot event), and could be assigned a key to close. Very simple measures which have been proposed to deaf ears.
Before I say anything else... it would have taken longer for you guys to have produced this graphic (or even skip lunch one day) than it would have taken to deliver the statues to those who paid for them. How is that acceptable?
2nd - I call distraction tactics from the (no doubt awful) camera system they are about to kill their game with.
But they needed to remove the camera options for help with server efficiency... because the client view is determined by the server and how someone is looking around impacts on performance because this makes total sense . Not. But rest assured it is so awesome that it needs to be kept a secret
I'm just as skeptical as you are, WisWis. I honestly don't get why on earth a new camera system requires an NDA. As for whether or not it'll speed things up, I don't recall much details, but I certainly think it's possible to attach scripts to cameras, and seeing MAs ineptitude when it comes to development, I'd not be surprised if some moron went overboard at some point and shit's been suffering ever since. Keep in mind the turnover they've had over the years with their developers, and all the bugs we've seen, and frankly, nothing coming out of that office surprises me anymore.
The NDA is for potential impact on economy e..g. say someone visiuting said new camera auto loots or makes it easy to loot this could impact pets and rings/pills.
I would think that stuff that would effect the economy to such an extent would be a) not done at all in order to preserve the econolmy (we all know MA doesn't do that, though) b) not shown to people at all. Even if they sign the NDA, they could still abuse their newly gained knowledge and get a financial advantage out of it.
If a camera auto loots - it isn't a camera - it's a control system. But this is MA... they can't even name things correctly any more
