First, I must admit I am surpriced to see NVD is selling CND. Mostly because untill now the club has been his special 'brand'. Everything there is made in his 'image' so to speak, from making walls with his names on it to the big screen for music events etc. And I got the feeling this was the very last option for him... but of course I have no clue. NVD says he needs the money for ROCKtropia and his other projects. Makes me wonder wether he calculated that in his budget or if something big unforseen bill suddenly came up. He probably asks an insanely high price for it - won't surprice me after seeing what CP sold for - and CND has a lot more opportunities for the right buyer. But what happens if it doesn't sell? Will it slowly go dead because NVD won't be able to maintain it? And if NVD doesn't get the money to pay for his future projects, what will happen to ROCKtropia - Calypso - the Universe? It is not nice to speculate in other peoples luck or unluck, but in this case I can't help feeling a little bit worried ... What do you think?
I can't see the sale being due to an unexpected large bill because he's saying he'd like to still have possession of it until it's fifth anniversary, so surely a money transaction won't go ahead until after this time. I suspect it's been part of the plan ever since he decided to create Rocktropia, although I'm also surprised. If CND doesn't sell then I suspect that ND will have only limited opportunities to do things like review taxes on the rock, set DNAs, promote events there. In other words, rather than going into decline, it'll just run as it is at present.
If it doesn't sell i think the resulting vacuum from ND's reduced ego could create a rift in the space time continuum.
I'm sure he will get his 5mil for it, maybe more. Its got so much more potential than cp if it received the same time and energy that buzz is putting into it. With the potential for a big investor to be able to pick up cnd at the same time proteron dna is becoming available could produce a powerhouse revenue center for the remainder of eternity. (however long this game stays in business) I don't know if it is or will be wise to purchase either of those, but there are defiantly enough people convinced that it will happen. Its my guess that the gamble will pay off too, so good luck to whoever picks it up. narfi
I believe CND is never ever sold because someone needs quick money for other projects... "need to invest everything I have into my Studio and marketing"??? 1. I can hardly believe that the costs of a little game development studio employing a handful of professionals developing Next Island for Next Island LLC (+ maybe another planet for SEE Virtual Worlds) really exceed the income of CND, RT, LAs, bank. 2. If you need money for your business you get it from the bank. Originally it was said CND was bought by money that came from mortgaging a house, remember? So why selling an investment that generates a higher interest than the rates you have to pay back for a loan of the same size?
That's a very good question, do you think that neverdie knows something is about to go badly wrong with the supposed gift horse?
Just a conspiracy theory, but I believe The NEVERDIE avatar and everything that goes along with it is going to have to go the way of Skam (Hanne's avatar.) He's too close now and we can't have that just for the sake of fairness. Considering he's one of the best spokesmen FPC has, they're letting him off easy by letting him get rid of in game assets. Just a guess...
I also think he is selling because of the conflicts of interests his avatar creates (working for a competitor and inside knowledge). I believe it will sell, but it is no tragedy for him if it doesn't, even with minimal effort the place generates lots of revenue. Just need to give the daps some fertilizer, and the mining gamblers will see to everything else.
Just a FYI, its not club neverdie thats being sold, but the asteroid itself. CND will return in a new revised format on one or more of ND's planets. Theres already the beginnings of one on Rocktropia, and there was a mention of CND Island on Next Island in the guide book that went online a whole back.
