First you have to define 'rich' If your definition is top 5 on tracker, then this, You might see them at the closest set of terminals to their grinding grounds, or when they are crafting there. If your definition is this, Then you may see them doing and or learning lots of things throughout the universe most often something tied to their investments. Ship owners will be on their ships or planet activity hubs. Land owners will be near their land area or advertizing their land areas in planet activity hubs. High end gear investors will be trying to use their gear and asking questions on why its not bringing them profits. etc..... What exactly is your question?
If they are not on holidays or sick at home then they walk around buildings and visit internet coffee bars in Gothenburg. Occasionally once or twice in a month they meet in office to discuss jokes about EU addicts. They don't need to work, work and EU grinding is for those hopeless who wish to get rich.
That's the point. Sister Kristin and I may have been rich or not. We owned expensive appartments and clothes and some exciting armor and weapons. We lived a life of luxury. We had partys at the pool in our luxury appartment at Monria or photo sessions with cool vehicles or at our boats at New Switzerland. Especially Kristin hung out at several special spots. Can't remember the names. It was a club at Bilton Towers and the former great place at Port Atlantis wich is now destroyed by a teleporter. We danced there and talked to other colonists. We hung out a lot. But well the real rich people didn't enjoy the game this way. They were "working" as McCormick mentioned.
You havent been there for ages, hmmm ? :) Its deserted, except for some low/mid level players, running in circles (oval) 24/7. ;D The new drop-radius (oval) is gigantic and you cant even spot every drop anymore, without constantly running in circles (oval). You got to run, all the time. The value of the barrels got even lowered. It is not worth it anymore. The "rich"as well the PKers left the pump long ago and only drop by on random occassions, saying hello and/or killing the mid levels...that dont even fight back...as it would be senseless. You can find some of them at Ashi auction and/or crafting Explosive blueprints...beeing afk ofc... Orthos (noob friendly rig) got disabled long ago, as Mindark said "we are not welfare".
yeh I knew Orthos went. I didn't know the big rig changed. End of an era aye? Correct, last time I was there was when I was talking to the rich guy I put you in touch with who wanted to buy skills. So.. whenever that was? I might swing by some time (if I can get access to a decent 3rd person control system - big IF) and see if I can stay alive more than 5 mins without hiding in a bunker then. It's always been on my ambition list to get oil from there - never managed it in 14 years - but didn't try hard.
Honestly, there is noone left to attack at rig, lul. 1 or 2 avatars run in giant circles (oval) and 4 to 6 are afk. While you would have had a decent chance to grab oil 20 years ago...we all grabbed it...it is now a matter of luck and not even worth the time.
I sort of want to see these bots. It's a shame we can't build walls anymore. Would have been funny to try and cage them in and record video/report them
Ya, those "cages" were one of the last epic possibilities, to record obvious bots and report them. :') R.i.P. item dropping. There are so many public reports...about obvious botting...yet they are all still online...botting... The best part is, when the bot users laugh at the "reporters" on the other forum, in public...then you will know, there is truly something around, called Mindark. ^^
Damn I even tried to provoke people in Twin to bring them in the ring for some PvP fun. Nobody came. I was shooting alone at my rabbit. Desperate.
