The system is working as intended - there is no bug.

The limiting factor for both, troop AND gold transfers is the relative troop size.

 

I don't doubt that the system is working in the correct way
But I too don't understand what you mean with:

the text says you can send gold to everybody (true as far as I know)

what do you mean by:
"as long as it doesn't exceed twice the troop size of the recipient"

if the "it" is "the amount of gold to be sent" then what you wrote is not true.

because the ammount of gold I sent a few days ago to trauma in one transfer was over 10 times higher than his troop count.

 

I was dead serious as i posted that i haven't seen most of the code for ages :D

Nonetheless - if the recipient is SMALLER than you, you can send him only 2*troop count in gold - in addition, it is heavily taxed.

Sending "up" (recipient BIGGER), there is no such limit, and the tax becomes 0%.


This is to prevent very large villages (which can produce way more troops/gold per cycle) from boosting tribe members up to their levels.
And, everybody present during the beta game should know about that.

An while you look for the answer to that could you also enlight me on the following:

If player A has 1000 troops and player B 250
Can player A send 600 troops to player B (I'm not even talking about tax) ?

 

Probably just offline for some code tweaking...

 

Since removeing is too much trouble and a new game requires active joining

I here offer 50 PED for the game to be restarted from the begining.

(I won't be joining it).
