Hello all, I would like to get to know people in EU :D. I'm 16 years old, live in Belgium. My interests are gaming, computers, music - especialy drum and bass, dubstep, breakcore - and science. If you're interested, send me a PM Greetz, K.
I'm 40 years old *cough*, and I live in Denmark :) My interests are playing games, running forums, good food, 3D programes (Blender geek atm :D), my children (2 girls age 7 and 17), priest, my house, painting, drawing art game design (well, I can't, but at least I'm somehow trying) graphic designs ... did I mention playing games yet? :) Now you know me :D
hehe little one loves to run around but mostly she loves to see all the clothes haha Bit one tried, but find me silly! But when her friends talk about games she's all like 'OHH my mom is playing this and that and meh .. lol!"
18 year old drug addict on rehabilitation from Sweden. I got high on hubris... Bah. Really though, 18 year old boy waiting to get into university, been playing this since... As long as I can remember, I was WAY TOO young when I started.. Generally.. I'm never serious at all, me and my german soc-leader always jokes around, I call her mein fuhrer and she calls me her innocent little boy toy. Deep down inside I'm a nerd, but I keep it on a good level... I think. :P I can't be offering you a soc because of your age.. (They even had problem letting me in.. but I charmed the leader over with some of my endless charm.) but what I can do is help you out, you can ask any question and I'll do my best answering them!
Hmmm... Who knows? I might think about joining ;) About the age; my current soc had some problems with it at first to. But when they got to know me, I appeared much more mature then that little number 16 says. Anyway, more people that want to introduce themselves?
I'm Peter. 25 years old, with 9 years of experience in that. I'm Dutch, from the thinnest part of Holland, all the way in the south. Like most people there, I'm a cross-breed between a Hobbit and a giant. Meaning I really enjoy nice food and drinks, but without the troubles of only reaching stomach-height and luckily lacking all that hair on my feet. I'm an IT geek in real life. Programming, database design, and business intelligence. Until very recently, most of that took place on Microsoft technology (C#, SQL Server, Windows), but nowadays I've been drawn to the good side (C, Linux, DB2). That switch was and still is hard, but it's a fun, albeit sometimes furstrating ride. As some of you might know, Lykke and me are married. We met in PE about 4.5 years ago. Long and weird story, but a funny topic of conversation :) In short, I was looking for a society, and through divine intervention by Lootius himself, ended up joining another society than I intended. The nun was in that society, and seduced me. Originally, as stated, I hail from Holland, though nowadays I find myself living in Denmark, where people eat sausages, drink beer, and talk funny. The sausages I can handle, and the beer helps me not care that I don't understand half of what they are saying. Heck, THEY have trouble understanding one another: > While communicating with them can be a bit tricky at times, here's a tip I found that works well. The trick really is just to grin at them mention the name of the latest Ikea product that you bought. Yes, I know Ikea is Swedish, but when it really boils down to it, the Danes are just spare-Swedes with a higher tolerance for alcohol. If they look at you funny, offer them a beer. They might not understand you, but alcohol is to Danes what a nice and clean hotel room is to a rockstar: An invitation to put sanity and reason on the backburner, and to prove that bolting down the TV to that heavy desk is merely a challenge, not a problem. I do not mind living in Denmark. It's a lot more quiet here, and people are rather relaxed. (I actually do mind, but Lykke made me say that, and she has a cattle prod. Please send help!). In my spare time I work on my forums, and game. I have a passion for whisky, and like to read about that, though not as much as actually drinking the good stuff. I like watching movies and series (24, Lost, Prison Break, Married with Children, Sopranos, etc) and reading. I used to be into Martial Arts, but have not yet joined a new dojo here. I should work on that. I love guitars, especially electric ones, but am unable to actually play one. I should work on that, too.
That's quite a change.. from the Netherlands to Denmark. How long have you been living there now? It's actually amazing that 2 people from different countries married each other ,because they got to know each other in a game hmm.. that thin part of the Netherlands is quite close to where i live :) What martial art did you practice? I'm starting with krav maga this summer.
I got "The Entropian" where you two are featured! (Teh nun and teh priest.) Neat paper but.. They should have continued it!
Hey khaos, I grew up near Sittard, close to Maaseik and Maasmechelen. I later on moved to Den Haag for work. I've been living in Denmark for three years now, but the change is not that big, really. Less people and a bit more cold about sums it up really. I did hapkido for a while. Fun, as it combines the best out of judo, taekwando, karate, nunchaks and other ma's. I've eyed krav maga as well. Looks like fun :)
My third sister. (we are not in anyway blood-connected but we're close.) has a fiance who is a krav-maga instructor, so whenever she comes around she always shows loads of things and I gotta say. Krav-maga is awesome.
It IS awesome ;) they learn you dirty techniques to defend yourself on the streets against people which are stronger, which carry weapons, or when they attack with multiple persons at once.
