Following are instructions for Task #2 that needs to be completed in order to support our investigations. Please read carefully, and then submit your findings in this thread accordingly.

Task # 2 - 100 PED in Rewards is being Offered

Investigations and the help of the community led to the hideout of a suspicious person on Amethera. Since the crime was committed on Eudoria, the person must have moved from one continent to the other. Very unlikely the person was using teleporters to avoid leaving a signature in the teleporters' logs. PAPD is investigating alternative ways to travel from Amethera to Eudoria.

Your task is to find the shortest coast-to-coast distance between Treasure Island (Amethera) and the Port Atlantis Area (Eudoria).

Capture a photo of yourself at the start point on Amethera and the end point on Eudoria with the coordinates (“P”), and the time (“U”). Both points must be located on the continents and NOT on islands belonging to the continents.

Since we need the results as soon as possible, the first person to post both screenshots meeting the requirements of the task will receive a reward of 50 PED.

As we need more than one screenshot to verify results, the second person to post their screenshot meeting the requirements of the task will receive a reward of 30 PED, and the third person to post will receive 20 PED. Further posters will be awarded 1 contribution point.

Remember: Rewards are being offered for contribution points too, and you can still receive a contribution point by solving Task #1.

Amethera and Eudoria locations found. I have discovered the route.

Alternative Starting point. And hopefully this still counts as being first since my original starting point was not on an island :)

It said Not on the islands so maybe I misinterpreted....Good luck all on this fun event.

 

Lol, ok...This tread is a trip....But anyway, IF I understood correctly the task said "Your task is to find the shortest coast-to-coast distance between Treasure Island (Amethera) and the Port Atlantis Area (Eudoria)." which means the area on the map.



So...If that's the case, this is the closest possible point to point locations between the two areas.

Since there was some confusion or misunderstanding regarding Task #2, I contacted the PAPD for clarification.

This is what they shared with me ...

• Treasure Island is considered continental Amethera
• TI was indeed indicated as the starting point

They make their apologies and state that they will take caution to be more clear with future tasks.

now could they also clear up what is considered port atlantis area? the circle on the map? or any place from where you would be revived in port atlantis (mall)?


on another note, I made the run to nea's place, forgot about the house while following the river west and had to run back again from OLA1 teleporter

has the owner of the ominous building been interrogated? are his answers available to the public? being the owner of treasure island, he may have knowledge about suspicious activities on his land. he may even be a part of the operation in question...

 

Thanks for the input Kay, and great questions you have there. I will definitely get back to PAPD and see what's going on. You know how they are, quite slow on the uptake, so I'm trying to stay on them about this stuff so that the community gets enough information.

However, my one source at PAPD who is actually quite annoyed at their inefficiencies is doing a great job of getting me as much data as possible. I'll see if he can help us out a bit. ;)

I'm waiting on a response from PAPD to find out what's next ... they've been in the middle of an office relocation, and with little manpower available to give 100% focus, so I'll report back as soon as I know what's up, which should be soon. ;)
