Shameless Theft at AH West

Well now ... I was finally able to break through to my contact at PAPD and get some sort of concrete information so that I could give the community an update. It wasn't easy I tell you, and I was just about ready to read them the riot act for incompetency, which is totally unacceptable for a law enforcement agency.

Anyway, I'll give them a little benefit of the doubt as I learned that the relocation of the PAPD Headquarters has been quite an undertaking, and not short on challenges. I was informed that an unforeseeable flood of traffic violations hit this past weekend during the relocation process and totally killed their completion deadline for the move. However, it seems the work related to the relocation had a peak on Tuesday, and things are slowly getting back to some semblance of normalcy.

As such, I am told that there will be a new task available within the next 24 hours for the community to complete, so stay tuned for that. I also got a reminder that you can still complete the prior two tasks to earn contribution points if you haven't already done them, as well as have an opportunity to win some special prizes.

Hopefully we won't have to wait so long going forward with the progress on the apprehension of this elusive criminal, but I guess I can certainly understand that there would be issues with the PAPD Headquarters being relocated given the enormity of the redevelopment of Port Atlantis.

Oh, and ... just between you and me ... I learned that the slippery thief was indeed connected to the EUWBC boxing event. I can't give you any more information at this moment, but if my preliminary investigations are accurate, then we may even have a name.

Task # 3 - 100 PED in Rewards is being Offered

A massive rise in the number of traffic violations last weekend, and the relocation of the PAPD Headquarters in Port Atlantis earlier this week unfortunately disrupted investigations.

The results for the 2nd task delivered by brave Entropians are being evaluated now. The changes in the Port Atlantis area are not making the work easier. Also, it is assumed that evidence in the Port Atlantis area has been wiped away by the changes.

Under these circumstances, it is absolutely necessary to increase the pace of our efforts.

Investigations and the help of the community led to the hideout of a suspicious person on Amethera. Since the crime was committed on Eudoria, the person must have moved from one continent to the other. Very unlikely the person was using teleporters in order to avoid leaving a signature in the teleporters' logs. PAPD is investigating alternative ways to travel from Amethera to Eudoria.

The next task should be quite an easy one. We need the number of spaceships that can be found at Billy's Spaceship Afterworld. Go there, count them, and post the result in this thread.

To verify that your result is not just a guess, please take 3 screenshots of 3 different spaceships at Billy's Spaceship Afterworld and post them in this thread.

The screenshots must show your avatar name (on the health bar next to the SatNav is sufficient), the coordinates (“P”), and the time (“U”).

The first persons posting results meeting the requirements will be awarded in the order of post time:

1. 40 PED (+ 1 contribution point)
2. 30 PED (+ 1 contribution point)
3. 20 PED (+ 1 contribution point)
4. 10 PED (+ 1 contribution point)

Aside from the above PED rewards, you can still collect a contribution point for posting results of Task #3, and still have an opportunity to collect rewards after the thief is captured.

Also keep in mind that you can still complete Tasks #1 and #2 to receive a contribution point for each, which will go towards collecting any due rewards as a result of total contribution points collected.

It's quite hard to tell what's a ship and what isn't :D But I will go with 7 ships :)

Since it is billys spaceship AFTERWORLD, and it is a junkyard of spaceships I think the shelter one counts. I mean it is supposed to junked ships right? :) I know there are 8! Just not sure about the brown thing...with that thing tho and it must be a ship, def nine

So I stick to 7 + maybe 1 depending on wether the burned wreckage counts ^^

 

i think its a drilling rig...at least thats what it looks like to me...what does everyone else think?

Looking back at them again now, i count 6 intact ships, 1 big piece of wreckage and 1 part of a ship that has been turned into a house of sorts. If that means 8 then fair enough....but i still maintain my interpretation that "spaceships" means intact ones, so my answer is still 6

Task # 4 - 100 PED in Rewards is being Offered - Team Effort

PAPD is very pleased with the results for Task #3 and how fast they have been delivered. Only the approximate number of ships has been needed to size a team of forensic investigators. After the relocation we are still not running at full capacity and cannot afford to misallocate any of our resources.

Task #4 has the same agenda, just on another level. And this time, there is need of the exact number. We need to size a team that would be capable of blocking all possibilities of leaving a certain site. Since there is a slight chance that a suspicious and dangerous person is frequently hiding at the place, this task needs special treatment:

1. We can only give you a few hints: The location is rather remote. During a specific period in time it was used by smugglers, but nowadays, motorsport enthusiasts revive there sometimes. Note: Posting the location's name or its coordinates in this thread leads to a disqualification for this task, no reward, no contribution points!

2. We cannot take the responsibility of endangering our voluntary deputies. Therefore you are asked to go there only in team and to not enter the site.

Create a team of at least 2 people, name the team "Shameless Theft - Task #4" - find the place, sneak around and count the exits. Take a screenshot showing one of the exits, the avatars and the healthbars of the people in team, as well as the team bar/menu. No coordinates please!

At least 2 members of the team need to post the number of exits and the screenshot in this thread.
It is not allowed for one person to be a member of several teams.

The first teams posting results meeting the requirements will be awarded in the order of post time:

1. 60 PED
2. 40 PED

Each team member posting will be rewarded 1 contribution point. Of course members of teams who are not among the first 2 will be rewarded 1 contribution point as well.

Remember: Special rewards will be given to the 3 individuals with the most contribution points after the thief has been captured (if more than 3 people have the 'most' contribution points, it will be decided by draw). Another special reward will be given by draw to a person with at least 1 contribution point.
