On August 7, 2010 EntropiaPlanets introduced the newly-created Media Center, and on September 12, 2010 with the release of the EntropiaTimes magazine, EPMC was again introduced with an ad in the magazine (Page 65). While the ad was informative, it was brief, and I thought I would take time to give you an overview of what EPMC is all about. STAFF Our goal is to build a Media Team large enough to cover the multitude of activities and events within our universe to not only keep the front page at EntropiaPlanets fresh and revolving, but also to keep the community informed. We are a small team right now, especially since Magyar resigned on Sep 23rd, but we will definitely be campaigning to tag the talent within our community to join us. Non-Media Team members from EP Staff also contribute to the front page as well, so we have a nice assist in that respect. We will be looking for the following, as indicated in the magazine ad, but I would like to expand on the full scope of what each position represents: Writer/NewsReporter – this position requires an individual to have a good command of the English language. This person will not only write front page articles, but will potentially have the opportunity to write for the EntropiaTimes magazine that is published quarterly. Each person is encouraged to create their own projects, but will also be given the option to accept assigned projects. The news reporting aspect of this position simply means, being tuned into current events and capturing the news as close to when it happens as possible and reporting it. Graphics Artists – this position requires an individual to be adept at creating quality graphics either through PhotoShop, or similar applications for articles, events and other projects. We have a couple people on staff, and potentially a new person being added soon, but Lykke is the person who generally does most of our graphics work. We would like to give her a break now and then, so adding more staff would be of great help. Videographers – this position requires an individual to capture footage within our universe, of events and/or activities, and convert into a video for usage with front page articles when needed. This will most likely be infrequent, but having someone on staff with a great video editing program, and skills to make the videos pop would be appreciated. Photographers – this position requires an individual to capture photos within our universe to be used either with front page articles, or EntropiaTimes magazine projects. The person should have a good eye for composition, and be available to get intimate with our universe. Researchers – this position requires an individual to research data that might be needed for a report or article, and may be either statistics or general information, or perhaps a scouting mission to check out a location within our universe for an event or special project. You never know where we might send you. Radio Broadcasters – this position is more for the future than it is a current need. However, it requires that an individual own their own SAM Broadcasting license, and proof of purchase will be required. It is a MindStar Radio policy without exception. We are not looking for DJ’s, but rather individuals with a clear (English speaking only) voice who will assist in providing live coverage for EP-created and sponsored events, as well as other community events and activities. This includes role-playing as it relates to either player, or planet partner-created events and activities. News broadcasting may also become a part of the schedule as well. Each potential candidate for the Media Team will be given a task to complete in their respective skill set as part of the application process. Also, anyone joining the Media Team will get full credit for all contributions toward an end product. As a note of interest – all positions are non-paid, and strictly voluntary. However, becoming a Media Team member comes with perks and benefits. Perhaps in the future we might be able to revisit this, but for now, it’s voluntary only. Also, there are no required time constraints with regard to how much time you have available to contribute to the center. However, we would like individuals who are able to make consistent contributions without going long periods of time (especially months) in order to help keep the news and information flowing. EXTENDED SERVICES MindStar Radio is offering a playlist service to the community. Meaning – you can create a special music playlist to be heard over MSR during a period of time when you’re available to listen to the radio, providing of course that there is nothing else scheduled in the time slot that you choose. Spike (safara @ EP) from The Disturbed Ones has already taken advantage of this service by creating his own Spike’s Stuff thread in the MSR forum at EP. You might follow suit and create your own thread, and perhaps do as Spike did when creating his lists. Meaning – give a brief introduction as to what your inspiration was for creating each specific playlist. Also, make sure to include the artist’s name, as well as the correct title of the track. What I will do is record an introductory MP3 to play just before the start of your playlist so that listeners will know whose unique playlist it is. When each playlist is constructed, every track will be listened to for lyrics content to make sure that it is suitable according to standards set not only by the host of the radio station (711/ EntropiaRadio), but also the EULA, and MSR’s own standards. With multiple Entropia radio stations, there's a choice to suit the community's needs, and each with their own unique design, which is a good thing, because one size doesn't fit all. If you are interested in exploring options with regard to potentially becoming a Media Team member, please send an email to mindstar9@entropiaplanets.com. .
Yo ... at an especially section I can grab 3D-geometry from the game and prepair it for several purposes. Ohh, before you ask! I am allowed to do this by MA officials (Simon/Frank). As long as it's for private purpose only. I asked them. :D
Unfortunately it comes without textures. This is a screenshot from Rhino3D. The colours are layer colours.
Thank you ... but at the end I had to realize that all the work was useless. The model of the Valkyrie wasn't printable with a 3D-printer. But I've learned a lot. :) So stay tuned ;-) My offer here aims to another direction. Once a certain 3D geometry is captured, one can build scenes wich are impossible ingame. Just a suggestion ...
