im sure its possible, but not sure if it falls within the eula or not, thats beyond anything ive researched.

not sure exactly what you mean here.
4. Can an apartment be used to sell items?
yes, you can purchase a shopkeeper and place it in your appartment, then the items you put int he shopkeeper can be sold
5. Can We as the EU community Advertise This Planet?
not sure exactly what you mean here either, advertize the planet elsewhere, or advertize your goods within the planet?
I beleive you are only allowed to advertize things related to the game within the game, but this is also beyond what i have researched.

It might be good for you to read the terms of agreement that pops up before the client loader starts, then you will have an idea what is acceptable ingame and not. Then ask questions about interpertation.

I think it is not allowed to sell real life items in game and I guess the forums are not that happy with it if you did as well

With the in game add system you can only advertise in game stuff. There were add of other stuff in the past (some Dutch insurance company comes to mind and the US players have seen even more) but that had to go through a company hired by MA to make those adds possible. My guess you had to pay a bit more then the couple of PED's needed to make an add on the global add screens.

 

I'm pretty sure you can advertise the planet without problems (then at least somebody is doing it). I would however not raise the idea that you are part of MA or FPC, that could give some problems.

 

EU is very "dynamic" :P

There is something here to entertain pretty much everyone, through FPS type play in pvp, grinding type hunting, mining, economic study, socialization, baiting emotional responses from people, etc... there are a multitude of ways that people go into the game for their enjoyment, and they all work together to make it what it is, something I feel is truly amazing.

You can get a lot of help and support from the community here on the forum, there are a LOT of helpful people. First though you need to decide what your motivation is. What do you want to get out of your "free time" that you spend in this universe?

Do you want to play a social/economical mmo for free?
Do you want to be one of the "Ubers" in what is known to be an expensive game?
Do you want to help people get started and have fun socalizing with them?
Do you want to be known for helping people? (being known for helping and actually helping aren't always the same thing)
Do you want to profit?
Do you want to profit a LOT?
What do you consider profit? and what do you consider a LOT?
Do you care about skills or any of the professions, or do you want to approach it purely from a business perspective?

From your posts you hint at wanting to help new players and run events which can at a minimum support their own prizes, or even better bring in a small profit.
Is this correct?

Because of the RCE aspect of this game, people are leery of new "business" endeavors from new or lesser known avatars. The fear is that these people are in for a quick buck and history has shown that they tend to disappear overnight.

If you want to do it for fun and help new players have fun the prizes dont have to be big, the fun of the event is enough.

100usd would probably be enough to get you started and self-sufficient.

10 cars x 60ped each = 600ped + (5ped oil each x 10) = 700ped
300ped left over for prizes

1st prize = opalo + 5ped of ammo = 8.8ped
2nd prize = opalo = 3.8ped
3rd prize = 2.5ped

Total pay out per race = 15.1ped

300/15.1 = almost enough prize money for 20 races

do 1 each day at a set time, with preleminary heats to determin who can enter that days pay race = several hours of entertainment for 10-20people or more.

Advertise times and locations well on the forums about your daily event and you will have plenty of people.

Never request dontations. If people want to give you something to help with the prizes or fuel for the cars that is fine, document it.

That takes you through the first month. If by month two you havent received enough donations to cover more races then depo 100more dollars.

1000ped/15.1 = enough prize ped for over 66 more races

Three months in now and you have built a name for yourself, have lots of friends, and have had lots of fun.

Profit? no, but I am convinced that by then your events will be self-supporting and you will be helping new players both with fun, and with prize money for activities they may want to spend it on.
