Wiki Updated - Mobs

question for you guys. I added a pic of an Exa in th wiki table Bernz made and was wondering if that image is OK with you guys. It is the DNA pic of the mob (and I kinda stole it from entropedia.info). If you like it and if you dont have any problem with the 'stolen' pics I'll post them in the table. If you dont like them or have a problem with the 'stolen' pics I'll go and make new ones from the animal info screen in game.

Let me know so I can begin my work :).

 

You know I'm talking about the small icon like thingies in the table right?

I'll go and do some examples to start with, so you can check if you are OK with them before I go and run around finding all the mobs :)

The big pictures will of course be new VU10.2 mobs. I'll start collecting some pics right now :).

 

was thinking about what you said and I think we should do our own pics, even in the small thumb thingy (even if it is only to give me something to do :)). I have put one for the Exarosaur in there. Let me know what you think.

Remember it is the small icon in front of the name in the table and click on it to to see the green lines I but under it (dont know why, just thought it looks nice)

need to come up with a nice name for the pics to, so we can identify what they are used for. Was thinking about

sorry I'm a neat freak and want things like that so people understand what it is used for (people hate me for that at my job :))

 

Not a bad trait to have at all. You'd be surprised at how many times I've seen programming code where variables are just called a, b, c, d, e, etc.

It makes it extremely tedious to figure out what code does, and I always try and write out my variable names to be as descriptive as possible, so it's (ideally) instantly clear what type it is, and what it is used for.

It's a bit extra effort while coding, but the amount of time you save during maintenance pays back for that tenfold.

 

Don't do a lot of coding but I'm a draftsman in an architects office and we work with a lot of CAD files. We have set up a system where you can see by the name of the file what is in there and in what place in the building it is located and I can't stand people calling there file plan_ver1.dwg in a 10 story building and you have no idea what level it is and if that is the correct version.

Sure you cant or at me, but because this is the very start of OUR wiki I thought it would be a good idea to streamline it a bit with the rest of the people here so we have a solid base to start from.

Will be doing some pic hunting this week to fill in the gaps (well fill in info to create gaps for now).

And don't worry, I wont break anything, I always keep a backup when doing some mayor stuff in there.

 

And I finalized the skills and professions overview pages Currently trying to figure out how to add a link back to the forum/main site.

Damn lack of documentation. Someone ought to create a wiki on how to properly tune a wiki.
