Sorry agis to be negative here, but as i had thought something was fishyish when I read your first post earlier (grammar and spelling not appearing very official) seems maybe there's something to that.

Anyhow also as I suspected over all the news and such today, the ND circus continues and carries over to a new planet. Real betaish launch for NI will be Friday as was previously reported and all.

Let's just let it lie til then and have a little patience. Calypso didn't arrive what 5, 6, 7 years ago or whatever like it is today.....

This situation stink. I was waiting for this new planet, but now with all this drama and conspiracy who is Neverdie and what is he doing I am not going to this so colled new planet. I even hate the name now - "Next Island" like realy just some next island without his own atmosphere and style. And the name Neverdie all over it.
This video came 3 days ago full with bullshit how he morgage his house and may be that was the first clue we are gona get screwed with this planet by Neverdie.

I'm with Tass.

Sure it's a smart business move. The more there are of these "super LAs" the less demand there is for them. Neverdie used his developer roles to rebuild his participant's property after selling it for a crap-ton of money. This is insane power that no other participant has and it's being used to screw over the other participants.

I will now never travel to Rocktropia, I will never travel to CND - Next Island. Perhaps the only condition I ever would would be to help people survive without depositing so neverdie loses what he just made in this malicious move.

everyone knows ND has his development studio, he has another planet. it make no odds to any other participant that he involves himself with another partner, which we know he is developing for. you have some pretty narrow and tight morals, the world of business, hell just getting to work or buying a loaf of bread must be very scary with such binary options.

Again gotta consider the source but why is there no mention of Mr. Post and his organization. Are we seeing that the entire planet is subcontracted out to NDS?

meh, I guess I'm not paying attention. checked out the wiki page for NI, it's pretty obvious now that funding is coming from NI, LLC, probably some of the story, but after that it's all ND all the time. So, seems agis is probably right, and maybe there's a bunch of valid dissapointment. yikes

I think you got the statement you quotet wrong. That one is not about ND being on NI, it's about ND selliing CND while making a new one behind closed doors. if you simply read wrong, ok, happens. if that's indeed not an issue for you then I pity anyone who might happen to have a business relationship with you.

this issue would ofc dissolve itself into nothing if the cnd buyers new about this, but I doubt that very much.

no i didnt mis-read it. this sort of thing happens all the time and is quite ordinary. im surprised that anyone is surprised or shocked by it. the buyers of CND got exactly what they purchased, one point of the sale being the name was going to be removed - did anyone think it was going to disappear? when company J leaves a premises, the customers of company H that move into the old premises dont worry when J opens a new shop down the road. usually people worry about the service they receive from either company, not the corporate machinary behind.

my main point is, its no biggie. the fact that Next Island has been a disappointing launch is the heart of the matter and a good degree of envy towards ND at being able to be involved is stirring things up. but if we want to speak of morals and ethics, one should question why the owners of NextIsland have not presented their intentions properly, leading to this disappointment. but even then, theres no moral issue really, its just a game.

uhm.. alternative comparison:
if you sell company A that offers service X without telling the buyer that you partnered up with company C to produce service X2, which will devalue the right tp produce X, than that's an inside deal and chargeable.
dunno, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that is the current picture for me.

NI never appealed to me, so I cant honestly join that part of the discussion. the interesting issues for me are the cnd sale and the premature launch of NI to advertise himself.
contrary to many other people it seems I wouldnt be bothered if there was an ND planet with every single thing containing ND. if it made sense and was well made, I might even go there. he can take over the whole universe for all I care if he sticks to simple business ethics.
NI owners definately messed up. that seems clear enough that no one's arguing against it afaik ;) but that would, as you say, not be a moral issue. just plain ol' stupidity or not thinking things through.

for most of us, yes. not for people who invest 10s or 100s thousands of dollars in property, for them it isnt.

ok I hate to criticise.... but from what I read in Entropia Times the NI people are meant to be PR experts..... why wasn't this information made available beforehand? It all just seems a bit like a communication mess....

After the mess on Wednesday, there was supposed to be a second release on Friday the 10th, but the NI forum Admin made a post after midnight on the 10th game time (which makes it the 11th) saying that there wasn't going to be one due to "unknown circumstances" and there may be one next week, "IF all goes well" ... so there you have it.

Received the pre show planner from CES the other day, NI isn't listed as an exhibitor in there, nor at the online list. At best it'll be a press release on Jan 5, some media attention, but it's seeming nothing like MA CES presence in years past.

That's rather interesting ... there was to be this mass marketing plan in place that included TV because David's wife is a TV personality, so I wonder what it is that they have in mind for CES in January.
