You forgot Expedition Next Island ; 20 avatars on an island ... who will surive?

Doesn't it make more sense to borrow the concept of "Survivor" than "The Bachelor?"

Then you would have a cast of people trying to survive, by hitting certain milestones in hunting/crafting/mining and the others (or the public) have to "vote them off Next Island."

 

The true identities will be revealed, and they will meet up in real life.

For countries (a country) with reality programming addiction, this might be a good way to bring now players into the game. But this ranks pretty high on my evil-meter. I'm not sure exactly how high because my evil-meter started crying uncontrollably before melting down into a useless blob of junk parts.

 

I'm not a fan of this type of programme, but for better or for worse it will bring Next Island to people's attention.

It says in the opening post that contestants will be cast. If the producers have any sense, avatars with names like those of Miss WeT won't make it onto the show.

I might have a go myself... oh, hold on... The winners meet in real life? Can someone lend me a sharp knife? I've a gender re-alignment that needs doing. My plumbs sure won't like this......!!!

I can feel a disturbance in the force as thousands of "plumbs" cry out in terror....

 

It was a joke. But it highlights something else the producers will have to consider - the fact that many men (myself included) own female avatars. I also wonder whether there are any women with male avatars, but given the historical mark-up imbalance between gender specific mid- to high-end armour I doubt it.

HAHAHA, love a good bit of tongue in cheek :D

 

A few problems I foresee with this:

1. The Avatarette is male in RL.

2. Internet connection problems/crashing when filming.

3. Time zone issues; who wants to be up at 4 AM to go on a virtual date?
