Dont want to be negative, but... why is it that, while having a great, extensive story to the planet, the trailer is just a show of eye-candy? If I had no previous knowledge about EU and just saw this trailer, I'd have considered watching it a waste of time. Where's the purpose? Where's the 'Why?' Why should one care to kill things on this planet over another? I know that is less important once your actually playing, but the point of a trailer is to get people interested and make them think it's something unique, right? oh, and the infos at the end of the trailer could stick a little longer. watching it the first time I wasnt prepared to have to read fast, so I missed half of it. might be just me though ;)
Then you need to judge it accordingly without any prior EU knowledge. For someone who does not know anything about EU it gets across some interesting points like CryEngine graphics....
Most trailers are just eye-candy, if it doesn't hold your attention in the first 15 - 30 seconds of getting info accross as fast as possible that is brief and straight to the point then its not worth it. I think the trailer was fantastic for those who have never heard of EU-Arkadia. Like George said, you need to view it from a no-knowledge of EU perspective.
Well I believe there is something unique. The chance to loot and craft a nice looking armor. :D I think this is unique to this planet because it has a different look. And the only way to get it is to go there and loot it or wait for somebody to sell it in whatever planet you are. Because theses armors are going to move around across each planet.
Uhm... But that was what I was doing. Or meant to do. If I hadn't known EU before, then I would have considered it a waste of time. When I see those generic eye-candy trailers I often decide for exactly that reason that it's not worth it. But judging from the opinions here I'm just the weird guy who likes things the other way around, so don't mind me :spin:
