Major Technical Issues

Hello everyone.

I am having some serious issues with EU. Today I logged out to have some dinner, and then afterwards, tried to get back in game. After accepting the EULA as usual, I got the message that "Entropia Universe did not shut down normally." Each time I tried, I continued to get this message. I figured an uninstall/reinstall was in my cards, and after trying this I am receiving the same message. I cannot even get to the clientloader. Anyone know what could be causing this? I have not changed anything with my computer since I logged out for dinner, and done several restarts (both with restart and full shutdown and power back up). Nothing new has been downloaded or anything like that.

Hey, yes I have read the threads on EF and PCF with this issue, and none of those resolutions have worked for me. They say in those threads to uninstall/reinstall, reboot, run as admin, and run in XP SP2 compatibility mode. None of this is working for me. This is a ridiculous issue, all I did was go get dinner, and now I can't even get to the clientloader. Insanity.

 

Ok, fixed it!! I had to delete the entropia.log and entropia.dmp files, since they weren't automatically deleted. It is now working for me! Took too long, but I am back in-game. HoF time! :)

 

Yes, I hope it can! It would probably be beneficial to others who run across this same issue if this thread is renamed. My suggestion is "Entropia Universe did not shut down normally." As others will most likely search for the same error message they will receive over and over if they have this same issue.
