I've been told Neomaven pretty much do not agree to any media besides what he hosts himself. Maybe thats why some sites went over to be hosted by him eh?

 

I also think you shouldn't make the signature. What you may want to consider instead of a signature is making a thread on EF on discussing this topic without naming this forum or any other forum i.e. in general terms is it right to not make threads of useful interviews which may be on a different forum to EF?

If you see what I mean. That would be more constructive but then again 711 would be unhappy with that too At least that way you would hold the moral high ground and there would be nothing that you did wrong.

I dunno it's a toughie maybe the best way would be to ask 711's permission first before you do that. If he's happy with having an open debate like that then go ahead.

711 will, however, point out that it has been a policy for years to prohibit links to forums that allow naming of scammers (that's at least why he started censoring links to the PEAforum iirc)... hence my latest thread (not specifically for that reason only tho)

Open debate with 711 will never happen, people tried on EF, people tried on IRC... heck, i tried it in live chat on EF.

But well, my sig banner won't change anything anyway, he scares people away from EF with that shit, he is doing it for years already, there was just no real alternative... this has changed.

I have a inexpensive idea to promote EntropiaPlanets.


Take a "Reon-W Sign" and create a msg on it about EntropiaPlanets the way you like it and I will give you back an empty one. If TT Value is not the same on both signs, we will equal the value with Peds. Mine is not full TT for sure.

I will install it outside the Shed on OLA-15 (for free ofc).
It's maybe not the most visited place on Calypso but it will cost a lot less than ingame global ads system. Beside the "Reon-W Sign" purchase, if you dont already have one, the fee will be only few Peds (2,5 Peds? for msg creation) for a perm. advertising.


I insist on "Reon-W Sign" because it use only 1 space point and it's the only model I have.

Personally I just have a problem coping all the competiting BS because we wish our info to reach out to everybody!! But it might get there eventually :)

Personally I think you two are doing a great job here, I think this forum will grow in strength over time and you dont need EF to make that happen. So just continue with great work and take heart in the fact that you have lots of peeps supporting you < omg where is the Hug emote?

 

Well im already taking steps to cut off any links i have to ef, not only for this reason here but the fact that its full of so much crap, brown nosing, whining etc.

Not even possible to make a thread with constructive criticism there anymore without some brown nosers filling the thread with the "stop whining" bs.

The only thing stopping me quitting ef as a whole is entropia tour agency tbh, i know its the forum that has its link in a place most new players will see first of all, planetcalypso.com homepage, and tbh i dont want all the crap above stopping the new players finding out about this useful service.

yet the rule is broken by promotion of GamersHQ ironicaly, and also there are plenty of other EU related websites or soc forums promoted in peoples sigs and such and general gaming sites in the news section. in other words the rule is applied discriminitly and randomly. Neomaven can do as he wishes really, thats his perogative as owner of EF. all you can do is live with it and work around it.

I'm not sure telling teacher will do much, though if the owners of this forum wen with a case highlighting the issue and with examples of other forums/sites that are allowed, they might at least note it in case theres a problem down the road. Entropia Planets is on the client loader, no need to rock boats.

no, the best course of action is to ignore and carry on, promote this forum in game and in soc, by all means highlighting Neo's behaviour to those that might be interested.

 

I have just had a peruse through the EF rules and the EF Tems of Service and can find nothing in there that prohibits users posting links and info to other EU related News and content.

Unless anyone else can see something that I am missing.

He cant ban the reference to EU related content that resides on other sites.

If he did this, then most of his News and Press section would have to be deleted.

completly agree with that, mudslingin and broadcasting the issue wouldn't help, but it shouldn't be kept a secret either if it comes up or someone has an interest.
