Ok, there it is and its completely empty: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Ancient_Greece

Bring stuff to fill it! Most wanted: clean high-quality map 512x512 .png

Uhm... question: Do Achelous, Asterion, Bullman and Minotaur really look all the same?

  2. I just stepped into AG yesterday and started exploring, gathering TPs and low level hunting, some feedback on the AG wiki linked above.

re: the post, I registered at Entrepedia which lets you resize the locations interface to 1000x1000, a screenshot of that cropped as a PNG could get you a map, though I don't know what copyright issues that would introduce. As for various varieties of Minos, I snuck past 3 of the 4 types (I can only realistically fight the lowest 3 maturities of basic Minotaurs) while seeking TPs, so I wasn't trying to get up close, and though I wasn't looking for it I don't recall seeing a lot of variation between the types, the older maturities are larger/taller. I'll maybe try to get a close (if brief) look at each to see for you.

    re: the wiki....

I think it might bear emphasizing that the 3 crystals you can quest to obtain on Next Island, and the 3 the fellow on the other side will give you to return, are one time only. The guy on the other end makes particular point of that in his dialogue. Any further trips back and forth, players will need to craft or buy on the auction so they have at least 6 for a round trip. (I bought 1036 with two auction bids for maybe 12 PED total, there are a lot sold on the NI Auction, so I can be commuting freely for a while to come.)

Greek garment and Crion's quest weapon...can we please be given something that's not disasterously in need of repair on receipt?? You can look like a pauper or spend 5 PED to fix your toga. You can't even wield the sword Crion gives you before you fix it. Head to the repair lady in the Thebes Marketplace stalls to fix both.

You appear to start in AG with the Thebes TP already added to your map. If you somehow manage to die or hit T and go to the nearest revive cave, you can either teleport out to Thebes, or the guy standing next to the TP offers to send you to Thebes. If you end up in the revive caves later with more TPs, you can TP out to any place you have on your map. Using strategic death/revive to hop the the next revive spot has no travel advantage in AG as it might in NI. (Note, if you hop into the nearby bottomless pit inside the revive caves, you get an Achievement.) Arriving safely in Thebes Marketplace is a short trot from your arrival point in AG and you get to be challenged by the city guard and sent to check in with the start of the main quest seeking First Wavers.

I have found two quests so far, the main one that prods you to Crion, who gives you a (busted) sword, sends you around to 3 towers to activate a crystal (same dynamic as on Next Island, activate it, wait a minute, then activate it again) and 2 of the 3 towers have monsters guarding them, that you can either fight or avoid aggro radius and run between. (That must be what Crion means by "tricking" them if you complain that the monsters are too hard.) The other quest is from the head of the guard who offers a Papoo-style quest to kill 333 of each of the 3 named kinds of Cyclops. Entropedia lists someone's estimate of the lowest maturity of the toughest Cyclops as 3600 health, so I am dubious of finishing this quest. I did not as yet see if there are further quests or a Minotaur-based quest, though there is a minotaur hunting type of Achievement in the Achievement list. Maybe there is a mino wave spawner somewhere?

I've been regularly repairing the herb boxes (I got 4 based on people mentioning they break at 50%) but I used the Labrys until I got a yellow-text warning message it was about to break, and it was way down at 10% or something. Maybe the blades are different but at least the axe does not break at 50% as the wiki currently claims.

Also, Labrys is improperly skinned as metallic as it is made of cardboard. Each fight with a 100-health Cyclops Slow takes 0.50 PED off the condition. It is max condition at 14 PED. By that math, the Labrys is good for 28 Cyclops Slows before breaking. Really? If I was going to go on a hunting trip of any duration I guess I would need to take a few. And high level critters here...3 or so and your weapon breaks?

I pouted a bit as I added a 3rd revive cave to the Entropedia map of AG yesterday (WNW of Mt Olympus Base Camp) but apparently the 3rd revive cave was known. I was feeling all Marco Polo ;)

Economy is not broken in AG, it doesn't exist. I have seen no auction house NPCs so far. Unless someone counts waiting for someone to happen to run past you in the next few days.

  4. I was able to "Connect with facebook" and download it. If that's what you mean :)

Once I allowed the facebook connect I had to go back and re-use the link, because after allowing it didn't return me to the document.

Yep, great! Can you put it there please? (It's a pdf I suppose)

  6. can't, "This file is bigger than the server is configured to allow." File is 5.70 MB, uploader says it allows max 2.0 MB.

Aw, bad thing. Will post on admin's to do list to increase the size for uploads.

  8. They don't like posing for the camera and the lighting was variable, the Achelous was dark and I had to up the gamma...but they all seem to be (possibly) recolorings of the same model, some darker some lighter, and maybe the implied metal of their bracers and shin guards.

    http://s1180.photobucket.com/albums/x415/GretchenRPH/NI AG/

That album is set to public so you should be able to browse.

Minotaur looks a bit bronzy in the bracers and shin guards, Achelous more silver, Bullman had a dark shiny with bluish sheen like gunmetal, and Asterion looks similar but maybe less bluish, polished iron or something. They seem to have different colored fur heads but the basic model of outfit and tatoos is the same.

As I came up on Asterion to get my beat-down in the name of photography, I saw he had a back tatoo. I didn't check the other backs because they were busy goring me.

I also took one of the basic Cyclops but I'm just going to expect/project that they are similarly recolored but this guy doesn't seem to be wearing any metal texture. So at this time I can't say the other 3 cyclops lines don't have different outfits...I'd expect not though judging by the minos. Big, small, tan, not so tan.

  10. you're welcome to upload them, I don't know where they would go or anything about wiki code.

You could crop my hp bar out of the bottom of them, being socked around by a Cyclops Slow (because I was trying for a good pose, not fighting) is just embarrassing :) Don't necessarily want that posted for posterity.

Lol, too late. Because uploading them to the wiki is easier than uploading them to photobucket ;)

You have a wiki user page too. Click, type, "Save page". No magic at all.

  15. My apologies to Spawn who provided the basic guide at root to the AG wiki page, I was not very observant of the condition bar on the Labrys. I was expecting "breaking at 50%" to look like a half full Labrys "health bar," but I was wrong, this time on getting the same "about to break" warning I looked closer at the bar and it's clear that if it was entirely empty, it would indicate 7.00 out of 14.00 PED decay, not 0.00 The scale does not start at zero and that had been my presumption.

If any part of my snipped quote of myself above made it into the wiki page, it is not true and should be edited out.

    Sorry Spawn!
