This may be something that doesn't exist anymore...I have a Next Island map off the web (I will link it from home later, I'm at work and everything fun and nice is blocked, except this and one other forum as far as EU content) and on Neverdie Island, there are places marked "Hidden Treasure." Do these exist, and if so, how hidden is hidden? I recall reading a thread somewhere that talked about some of them needing teleport chips to reach...so at some point, these did exist. I went to one the other day while gathering TPs on Neverdie. There's one indicated on the map just southwest from Island Girl Spa teleport. There's a waterfall, with some flat areas around it...I put a waypoint as close to the place on the map that was indicated on the web map, and it seemed around that waterfall. I went to all the flat places, climbed the waterfall, flew my Sleipnir over the places I couldn't climb to...I didn't see anything. Is it like ground spawns, you have to be standing on the ground within a couple meters of the "thing" to be able to even see it? How hidden is hidden? And of course, is this something that used to exist but doesn't anymore. Thanks for any guidance!
If I remember right it was just areas of "Pirate Treasure" graphics. Like a few skeletons laying around an open treasure chest of gold and jewels. Just to look at though with no interaction I think, if its what I remember. I could be wrong though, narfi
I found that treasure chest :) nothing happened - but it was deep into a cave where you had difficulties coming ^^
ah, so they were just points of interest, not actual loot points :) figured it was a bit too easy sounding. thanks all!
this was the map I was talking about...found it useful for gathering TPs (though it may be somewhat out of date? For instance there is only one TP right outside the Ancient Ruins pvp area, and nothing inside the pvp area (though the particle sparklies and sound effect remain behind the building!) and nothing at Pearl Cove a little to the northwest but a clearing. http://www.entropiatouragency.com/nextisland.jpg
Thanks, now can edit my typo :) LOL if it had been actual treasure it wouldn't have been placed on a map for all to come steal. If you have time you should check out all the caves, some pretty nice ones. Hopefully they don't remove them. I believe Stave did that one, not sure if he posts here.
