A few changes have been made to the wiki sidebar (the menu thingie on the left of the page) to improve accessibility. So far this is only a test and the changes are just examples how it could look like. We would be really happy to get feedback. Please have a look at the Calypso section (changed), the NI section (changed) and compare it to the ROCKtropia section (NOT changed yet). Which version do you think is the best to go with? What about the headlines in the Calypso section? Are the titles fitting? What else should be included/what should be dropped? Any other improvements?
The sidebar is cool, a bit cluttered but easy to manage once you get the grasp of it. Aesthetics: I see this: ----------Assets------------ -- It distracts a bit, maybe you could change font or something to make a clear division? Maybe it's just my screen settings. I'm myopic as hell, so I made the entire interface 25% bigger. I would like the search bar to respond with Enter. Instead I actually have to click the thing. Could we work around that?
Thanks for the feedback! Using -------xxx----- is already an ugly workaround... Of course the width can be adjusted by reducing the number of "-". Unfortunately the options to style the sidebar are very limited. Almost non-existing. But that will change in future. I will look for alternatives for the dashs. And I will look into another searchbox.
That's should be fixed now by simply reducing the number of dashs. I tried a few other characters but they seemed to be even worse.
BTW, small Links hiccup: In the homepage, from the planet rosters all the way to "Portals (just a test: Beginners | EU History | Planet Arkadia" there's a small but annoying bug. You can't select text nor click on any links... except the ones in the timeline.
Thanks for reporting and FIXED. Astonishingly enough noone noticed or considered it worth reporting so far. I found out this issue occured from 21 October 2010 on until now. Bring more. ;)
