Wiki is under continuous development. Improvements are implemented on almost daily basis. The idea is to release a monthly report highlighting a few developments of the past month. You can find the last reports there: Wiki Report September 2011 Wiki Report October 2011 This is the November 2011 Report. Statistics Total of pageviews by the end of the month: ~1,450,500 * Average of pageviews/day: ~4270 * * to make data comparable every month is considered to have 30 days. Development Work on the infrastructure for structured data continued. Most notable is probably the Missions Form which went Bets in November. It is used to add structured data to existing Mission pages and add new Missions to the wiki. The Missions Form is accompanied by Portal:Missions which by now is just used as a kind of workspace. Some missions have been added or converted allready, have a look: Portal:Missions Project Teleporters did only progress a little. More support is needed to achieve a full documentation of all teleporters. Wiki's flexibility together with the recently added form and utilizing them to create structured data produces first result. On the Bridge Islands page you can find Missions, TPs,and wave events that have been added with forms. Still the page works like a regular wiki page and can take any kind of manually added additional data, like the missions map by Chazlow for example. A few guides have been added to the EU Guide. However, Project Entropia Universe Guide could have some more support. Keyboard Mapping is a very good example of how a wiki page in the guide can also look like, thanks to Larkin, check it out: Keyboard Mapping. Work on EntropiaToday continued. The form to add EntropiaPlanets articles has been turned into a general news article form open for other websites to add links to their articles too. A few changes have been applied to the sidebar in order to structure it a little bit more. This is still in progress and any feedback is very appreciated: Changes to the Sidebar. Development of the Flight Schedule is on hold in order to get Project Teleporters done first because Teleporters can be an input for fields in the Flight Schedule. When MA released the Player Register Narfi had the idea to create a little form and wiki page to track the # of the players online. A few hours later is was done (Beta): Online Players. The page is also the first to contain an automatically updated bar chart. It will not be the last. The latest number of players online and other figures are available in the form of RSS feeds and items for you to display on your website. If you need anything specific just let us know. The next very similar tool/page will track the performance of Calypso Lands Deeds. ;) A page for everything about Beacon Missions has been added and hopefully will get really busy mid December. A full scale wiki is much more suitable than forum threads to collect, maintain and display this kind of information. Please help! More in the according forum thread: Beacon Missions. Notable pages New: Bridge Islands New: Players Online New: Calypso Land Deeds New: Portal Missions If you create or improve or find a page you think is notable, just call. Much more happened on the wiki but I think that was the most interesting. Any questions, suggestions, criticism welcome! Share the wiki pages, join the projects, try editing with the new forms, stay tuned, there's even more new stuff in pipe. :)
Great to know. I've noticed my fave locations are missing in the TP section. I'll be writing entries for New Oxford and Hadesheim soon. I'll dig out some old pictures from my archives to illustrate the history section. Then, I'll go TP by TP adding whatever I can. Pictures and a brief description mostly... As soon as I can log in that is...
Great progress this month. That's a decent amount of hits too. All the more reason to start contributing to it. I'll see if I get a few TPs on Calypso on the TP project. On my next deposit, I should be keeping that as a goal when flying around.
Great to see some initiative. Just to clarify: Most TPs are documented more or less detailed already. Project TPs is supposed to add structured data enabling us to use forms to add/edit TPs and generate any kind of automatically updated tables, lists, etc and also display them in forum posts. On http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Calypso_Teleporters for example you can see the 'converted' Teleporters in the upper table and the not yet converted teleporters in the list below.
Ah, so THAT's why I couldn't see New Oxford. Still, some places and landmarks should be recorded and I think NO and Hades need proper historical documentation. They were once magnificent cities; it would be a shame to let all that be cast into oblivion. Besides, I happen to have a couple GBs worth of pictures that could be of use. If memory serves well, I have pre-VU9 pics of: -New Oxford (Museums, Catwalk, Gallery competition) -Hades (Malls, Energy Plant, Auction, City, Pre-impact party, etc) -CND and ND himself -Summer Fashion Contest -Some other misc pictures and records. I'm looking for them in my CD stacks and external HDD. I have found most of them but it will take me a while to sort through thousands of pics to get the best ones. Then, I'll have to Photoshop some proper contrast into them... Might end up with a hundred or so...
I completely agree. From the things you mention there's little available yet. And all of that is cluttered up and spread over the wiki andhard to find. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Hadesheim
I propose we merge TPs and their Pages like "Teleporter:Hadesheim" with "Hadesheim" so that all information is in one place.
