Entropia related logos

For all sorts of stuff I have been looking for high res images of the various logo's related to Entropia Universe. A few of them I have found on the MindArk and Entropia Universe ftp site. The planet Calypso one I made myself. As I can imagine that more people need and want these logo's I thought I'd place them here. The jps you see below are low rest images, but the links below them point you to a eps file.

Currently those are on my own webspace, but if Peter or Lykke can put them on the PE website somewhere that would probably be better, but that's up to them.

  2. If you can find the old Project Entropia Icon you would be my champ. The EU and Calypso logo just means shit to me compared to PE one

I used to have the old icon from the old installer but didnt bring my PE disc with VU 4.4 to USA

PS. I mean the the file/exe so I can change icon in Windows, not a jpg of it unless I can use that somehow for icon

I have no idea what the icon looked like, can't remember. If you have any picture with it showing I can make a .ico file for ya so you can change the EU icon on your desktop.

But this is the logo in low res jpg format:

If you give me a little time I can make a EPS file from it for ya to, need to trace it for that.

If I remember right the old exe logo was this E centralized without the project entropia part. I think the colors are the correct ones. I have blue in my head also but I think I am just mixing that up with the old Entropia Universe first icon. Would be nice if you could make something out of this one

Alternatively, try this. I use it for making the favicons for the site.

Did a little search in the EF gallery and found the logo. Tried to make one to match that as close as possible

The funny thing about .ico files is that they are only just .bmp files. So if you download this .bmp file to somewhere on your PC and change the extension to .ico, you can set it to you EU shortcut.

right click on your shortcut --> properties --> change icon...

  11. Thanks RAZER. Looks alot better than the Calypso icon now.

It seems Win7 downsizes it alittle when its on the startbar "hotbar" or whatever they call it but I assume thats is Windows fault and not the icon. Its alittle bit smaller than the other icons but still looks good

  12. The windows .ico format specifies an image layer and a mask layer and can hold bitplanes for several icons in the file, sizes ranging from 16x16 to 256x256, 1 to 24 bit color depth... this is not the same as the .bmp format, even if you can apparently convince windows now to use little .bmp files as a valid substitute, at least in links...

Anyhow, just changing the file extension doesn't make a .bmp file an .ico file.

  13. I noticed that it didnt work but if you click show all files under properties when selecting a new icon it will show the icon and accept it.

I've just noticed the icon is the same exact size on the start program bar so it must be a small issue with the hotbar just right of the start menu or maybe I am just seeing wrong

OK, I did know there could be more pics in 1 .ico file and you have programs to do that with, I just thought it were glorified .bmp files packed into one file and because of that you could rename the .bmp file. The remaning to .ico you can do for a long time already, been using that 'trick' for a while now.

    @Knuckles
The little .bmp file I posted is 48x48 pix and in my windows 7 it looks OK.

maybe I will try to make a proper .ico file to tonight.

  15. A "real" icon file contains several icons, at least one in 16x16 and one in 32x32 - it will display the size needed, i.e. in the tray notification area (next to the clock) or in a small icon quickbar it will use 16x16 if available - when you just use a bmp file, it will resize it this instead of using an optimized smaller icon inside of the same file.

and if anything on windows sucks it their image resizing:
They just throw away ever 2nd row/column... whch will, ofc, look like shit at best.

    /Edit:
Try the link admin provided, it seems they downsample it with better quality.

OK, found a nice free program to make icons and made a few

they look a bit small here, but all have 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48 pix icons in them.
just right click them and save image as...

  17. 2nd batch of the PE icon looks perfect now. Could have just been a minor Win7 glitch
