A long time ago I posted this picture on EF as a comparison to another game. I forget what it was but certainly it seems we are at least "approaching" this level of avatar/armour quality/detail in Entropia these days. Having just discovered it again I was thinking how similar it seemed to some of the armour on the NPC's in Ancient Greece... So... my question is: Given we HAVE no armour in ancient Greece, how about something like this? Would certainly fit in alright Wistrel PS does anyone from NI dev actually read this forum?

Hoplite armor has been in the dev queue for several months now, I've been pushing hard for a long time to get some armor and weapons into Greece! And I am so delighted that it's finally coming to fruition! I hope it lives up to your imaginings. If you check out the pictures of the female hoplite armor here: http://www.nextisland.com/blog/colorable-hoplite-armor/ you'll see that we were thinking along very similar lines for female armor that's attractive and stylish WITHOUT becoming a battle bikini.

The battle bikini! Isn't one of the many reaons for playing games the fact that male avatars look like Superman and female avatars like street hookers? Games with shortsighted, adipose and acne-prone avatars seem to be very rare. Probably too less Supermen (and women) in front of the screens who want to play this role... In EU it might work. If the ugly whole-body tin can armor had just a little less decay noone would wear the in vogue battle bikini...
LOL I thought all the people who play EU where gods and goddess!! I sure like to think of my avatar as the epitome of myself!! Well close enough!! But I agree on the decay part.. I'll even go so far as to say that the decay has increased in the last 6months or so.. I remember very clearly that my Bear was a half decent armour. A good run against any mob was not to heavy of a price to pay.. Now... I can't even do a simple 100 ped run on any mob without paying somewhere between 12 ped to 18 ped and up... Before.... 5 to 7 ped max...
While I understand the comments from Meg about "Battle Bikinis" I have to ask: If these are such a bad/stereotypical thing, why are the NPC's wearing them? I think its a fair point ;)
