Breaking news coming from the Planet Cyrene front. Cyrene just revealed that May 1st, their planet will finally go live. First announced in January 2008, Cyrene has been highly anticipated by everyone who has an interest in the Entropia Universe platform. Now, more than 4 years later, we finally get to see the new planet in all its glory. Back when it was announced, little was known about the planet; all that was mentioned in the press release was that it was created by Thailand-based Creative Kingdom Inc. Over the years, the name of the planet was revealed to be Planet Cyrene, and screenshots and information started trickling out. Cyrene is a mythical planet where science fiction blends with fantasy to deliver a world where shamanistic tribes battle robot invaders. The player will be immersed into a gripping storyline, which will be co-written by the actions of the players. At the moment this article is written, 5 factions are known to exist on Cyrene, and the players will be able to have their avatars forge allegiances with these factions. This is one of the things that interests me about Planet Cyrene. I wonder, is this hinting at some kind of in-game AI, or will they be relying on people to go in-game to play the part of these factions? If it's the former, would that be a case of FPC's as opposed to the familiar NPC's on Calypso and other planets ---edit--- FPC is Fully Participating Character

Hi Nexus ... that's a very good question, and while I don't have a definitive response for you, I am working on organizing the live interviews on MSR with both Ed and Kris (separate interviews), and your question would be a good one for either. However, Kris is very much involved with the quest lines, but he also speaks of the factions in his interview in the June 2011 issue of the EntropiaTimes magazine which you can access at this forum. I will be creating a thread at the Cyrene Forum for both Ed and Kris for the community to post what questions they would like to ask. I will give an indication of what areas would apply to each after discussing the interview with them more. My goal is to do a pre-launch interview, but also another one after launch and when the mass marketing will be kicked into high gear. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding the interviews.
Epic. I cannot wait to start exploring this new place. I'll try my best to get on the opening date as long as my finals don't get in the way. Have we any party plans?
