Still no announcement then? I guess maybe they are saving it for the "big promo push" ? I think they've had to hold back a bit on that due to the avatar issues over the last week or 2.

I will start hunting again when this is all over, in the mean time i will tour calypso parks and the first animal that kills me will be the first animal i kill.

 

There is another option. Go and buy an estate or two. Just checked my estate total count it's now at 100. So I should really stop buying in case they don't turn out to be what I hope. The announcement must be pretty close now. Any day now or maybe sometime next week.

The February update is scheduled for next week and we have various radio interviews scheduled, so announcement will probably be very soon. Unless they find more bugs. My guess is the announcement was delayed due to bugs.

They can't exactly make announcement if they were unable to fix bugs. Players are always ready to make fun of them with something like that.

Perhaps they should not have told us they will make an announcement. Then if they go down that route, players make fun of them for not communicating. So either way they are going to be in a difficult situation. Perhaps if we gave them room for "slack", they would be more forthcoming with what they are up to. After all communication is a two way process i.e. the jokes and insults people throw at them probably doesn't help the situation. Would you feel like talking to someone if they were talking to you in a "harsh" manner...

 

If you were a developer company like Mindark and you had a descent PR department, absolutely. Unfortunately, they hired Traction PR instead of a real pr company that could hype em up better. Traction's website is still broken.

To be frank it's better a developer just be honest imho. Personally I prefer that over some PR nonesense.

MindArk seem to do that, e.g. they stated honestly when they thought the Jan announcement would be made (end of Jan), and we punish them for it.

Arkadia use the PR approach. If they were in same situation instead of saying end of Jan they would say end of summer. That is, add on an extra few months for good measure so that when it does come true players who take them at face value applaud them how good they are. In reality it's all a "lie" implemented by Arkadia and applauded by us. If you prefer to live a lie that's fine...

It would be better if we changed rather than MindArk. To preserve honesty and integrity.
