When are we getting the Destroyer and Cruiser then?

Well the cruiser seems to be the biggest and a mass people transporter. It may even be 3 times bigger than a mothership. So if that's the case we would need a considerably bigger population on all planets to justify it's release.

The destroyer is likely to come earlier but better if it's never released imho ;) opinion biased ofcourse as a mothership owner

 

Well i may have got things completely wrong the bigger one may be the destroyer and smaller one cruiser. I remember someone mentioned the bigger one is cruiser though. Wonder how many repair points that monstrosity will have :)

 

First could be nice if they finish width space development and after that they will release new ships. Still need only space related resources and items from space mobs. Also space mining to be implemented.

 

Well, you have to remember MA's big plans for space. It was going to be this great place where players would love to battle it out for ones' loot not really giving much thought after that.


But who knows, maybe with this new Moon people just may want to go into space.

 

Didn't know MA had thought of a cruiser and destroyer till now. Naval destroyers are usually bigger than cruisers, so I'm thinking the bigger one is the destroyer...

 

Hmmm, I'm not entirely sure but I think you might find that destroyers are smaller than Cruisers....Used to be Frigate-Destroyer-Cruiser-Battlecruiser-Battleship iirc...

But thats all semantics...I'd like to see these models used but I don't think space is big enough nor the population of EU.

Yep you're right, I found this page here - and I agree, I also don't think there's a big enough player base for more large ships, although the number of passenger services seems to be increasing for some reason.

 

The bigger one looks very similar to the big ships in the skies of Calypso. Seems to have been modified e.g. mid section but my guess is it's the same ship. Since it's made an appearance in game it's also highly probable it will be in game for us to use in the near future.

Question I'm wondering is if it will remain an npc ship as now or player owned.

 

They do look very similar to the CDF ships... Which reminds me, that when they first started to appear with the new robot incursions, I thought they were robot command ships and so tried to reach one that seemed a bit lower down with my quad-wing :p This didn't work though as I had the usual message asking if I wanted to enter space :)

 

Since the existing big ship is supposed to be CDF. Not sure but the storyline seem to suggest that.

If it is CDF then makes me suspect perhaps an NPC automated ship which we could use. Wonder how such a system would work or it's purpose, perhaps a method of transport without entering lootable pvp?

 

Yes, they're definitely CDF ships, but when they first appeared I thought they were robot command ships... If they are NCP automated ships, I think the only way you could find out is by going into space, but I suspect that MA has done a clever bit of trickery here, in that you can see them 'in the sky', but probably don't exist as objects in the game.

 

So, you can actually go inside it? I thought of trying this, but then I considered it was a spoof and that it wouldn't actually be there if you went into space, so I declined as I didn't want to use more of the thruster just on a hunch.

 

Great, I'd like to have a go at that. Which mission and which island?

 

That would be great, so far the only planet specific ships are Calypso one's, I think...
