System upgrade

    Today, we will be upgrading the forum to the latest version of XenForo. In the process, the existing styles will be removed and replaced with something nice and shiny.

    Expect errors while you surf to EP today. We will try and aim for a smooth upgrade, but you might still experience some odd behaviour here and there. Have no fear, it's to be expected!

    I like the new slider section and how the 'new article leader' underneath that has been reduced in height.

    Well, most of the work is now done. It's been a long day, and I'm going to call it a day.

    I did my best to try and make the transition as smooth as possible, but expect there will still be some issues I simply didn't catch yet. Over the week we'll be ironing out the reported bugs, and gradually be making small announcements about what's new, or what might make your life easier.

    One thing I have not gotten around to fix yet is that currently the entropiaplanets.com address points at the list of forums, rather than the portal homepage. I hope to get that addressed shortly, but until then, you can still get to the portal by using the "Home" tab.

    So please tell us what you like and what you don't like. Probably can not make everybody 100% happy, but we can at least try :)

    One of the advantages of XenForo 1.2 is the responsive design, meaning that visiting EP from mobile devices should give you a much better experience :)

    That would be awesome, it's one of my favorites too, but I also love white cake with coconut filling/frosting inside and out. Damn, now I'm going to have to get one. There's a place I order from now and then when I don't feel like cooking dinner and they have a big size individual slice of the carrot cake with that frosting, so I just might have to do that tonight. :biggrin:

    Any issues after the upgrade?
    You like the new editor?
    What about the new style? (wasn't noted but style also changed completely)
    The new slider? (we also got a new slider)
    Anything to improve?

    So far so good. I notice a bit more lag on my iPad. Other then that its seems good. :thumbsup:

    I have to agree with Softy about there being so much white, and maybe we can think about a stronger or darker division between posts, that might give a bit of a contrast. Also change the quote colors (at least the blue) to a gray maybe like the color in the "post reply" button at the bottom.
