As the title says, it's been horribly slow today and many pages won't load - especially annoying when i want to post a reply and it aborts. So, do i have to give my ISP some heat or is anyone out there experiencing similar problems? Or is EP under DoS attack from... whoever ?
While we've seen some trouble before, tonight the site seems stable for me at least. I just logged onto the VPS, and do not really see any trouble there, either.
I ping it now for a while, RTT is ok: 30-60 ms, not a single packet lost so far, few peaks at 170ms, looks excellent. It happens a lot with posting new posts/editing old ones (needed 7 attempts to change the post titles...) I know from EF, that i.e. when someone else posts at the same time it slows down significantly, but plain aborts are rare... I'll keep an eye on it tho - the ping is fine, this usually indicates a server side issue...
Yes, please. We had someone from the other forum we run complain recently as well. I logged onto the VPS at those times and restarted the Apache service, which seemed to do the trick. According to our host, our filesystem was overloaded (which seems odd, considering we just upgraded to obtain an extra 5 GB), and they removed some old logfiles. I do not recall seeing any visual indicators for diskspace signalling a problem back then, and neither was it the case when I logged in earlier. Any additional info would be most welcome :)
The site was extremely slow few days ago aswell. It simply would not load for a hour or so..or maybe more
Only problem I have is with the thread "music music music" . But its obviously due to all the links posted in there. Has quite some load-lagg.
i have this problem a lot myself aswell.. lots of errors loading the page.. I don't have this problem with any other forum it seems.
