I checked "The Latest Buzz" and there's no announcement there, and I haven't logged into the game in a while, even though I finally got to updating it last night, so perhaps MA is leaving it up to each individual PP to make the announcement for their planet. We all know that Kim is on the Calypso team, even though we all know that MA isn't far away, so it seems it's business as usual that PCF know first. PP updates (I don't think) are announced on the client loader, so I guess we'll learn what's up from each PP if they choose to share anything.
We should be thankful that he actually started a new thread and not post it in some obscure bugs/VU details thread as when he announced the November 29th date. Feels like I just had my last supper (steak and baked potatoes) as I neg repped him for not posting it elsewhere, ie here.
Looks like it hasn't been posted at the MA "all universe" forum of choice either (Entropia Forum). MA and/or Calypso employees will not post here - I would like to see them prove me wrong.
Yeah, I think Kim gets caught between his worlds. I think Kim still does more MA work than any will ever admit. He's proven in the past he can do stuff that no other PP can do. Neither ND nor Dave have logged in and moved people in space. Pretty sure space is MA...so...ya know... He's logged in late night in the U.S time zone on a Sunday night to run a surprise bot event in the past. The drones can think whatever they want....but hey...if it looks and quacks like a duck...chances are it's a fucking duck. I actually wouldn't have much of an issue with it if they were honest about it..but they are never honest about it. The official word is Kim only deals with planet calypso...but yet he can run has access to stuff n other PP has...including info...I hate to shit on him for giving info...but the optics are horribly bad.
Well, there's another reason they (MA) won't post or work with EP besides not liking the tone of how things are written, or the anti-MA content ... 711 ... but other staff members are far more knowledgeable in this area than I am ... my network over the last 8-1/2 yrs has been more specific and very revealing, and has led me to make the current decisions that I have. They say with knowledge comes the power of understanding, but even the most knowledgeable can be fooled ... and fooled, and fooled, and fooled. Entropia Universe is an excellent example. And you're right Steve ... Kim is MA (he's the son of the Chairman of the Board), the CEO of Calypso (Sven Sandberg) also sits on the MA Board of Directors (no conflict there), and anyone in the community who even for a minute thinks that there is a clear distinction, or division of entities between MA and Calypso is blind. Just because (technically) they are listed as separate entities, Calypso will also and continue to be favored, which is why we witness time and again things being done on Calypso that other PP's are unable to do. I also think that the Calypso staff and MA share the same building or office space, other than what is out-sourced to, Mexico is it? I know that Kim travels back and forth. From a psychological perspective, which I'm very qualified to speak from, MA is both brilliant, and missing the mark BIG TIME, and I'll just leave it at that. I can say one thing though ... my 8-1/2 yrs experience in this virtual universe, mostly writing about it for nearly 6 of those years, has definitely inspired the type of writing I'm doing now IRL, and it is NOT about EU whatsoever. I have stopped writing about EU or for EU, and will never publish anything for it again. BTW ... the management of this forum has worked hard to continue being (IMO) what this community needs ... a place to have a voice and share information constructively without being censored because ownership is connected with MA or the developers. I appreciate this environment greatly, as well as the research that is done when writing an article, even if it's one of a speculative nature, because there is intelligence and relative content that makes sense, and invites a level of thought-provoking action on our part, rather than just accepting the status quo. Last word of advice ... if you want to play the game, make sure you know what game you're playing.
Sad to see the VU delayed, but delays because of bugs found is in my book a good reason for delay. Hopefully its all sorted by Nov5.
Too bad they didn't put it back another half a week so Thor Dark World would come out first and cause a bit of a ped deposit loss as more folks decided to go to the movies instead of put money in game. I'm somewhat confused by the wording of this announcement. "Additional"? Does that mean that some bugs were meant to be there but it was discovered there were in fact more?
My post is quite clear and easily readable, but perhaps I should have used bullet points, sorry, but just for the record, 711 does play a role in why MA/Calypso post only at the Calypso and Entropia forums, but of course there's a much more in-depth story than just that, which is why I mentioned that a couple of the other staff members were more knowledgeable than I, and have already made this information known elsewhere at this site. Also, my behind the scenes network is more involved in game play and development management, rather than focusing on the relationship of forum ownerships and how it has affected the community. The game is played with belief and hope, which historically has given us an enormous amount of changes, but continues with instability and game play issues that they never seem to get quite right, but the battle behind the scenes also affects the players in ways that are subtle or not shared, and can have long-term impact. I understand (really) the nature of your questions Spawn, and I wish I could just open the virtual vault and let it all spill out, but I can't, so I guess I try my best to at least let it be known that players should be cautious, and know that there's more than what they see and hear on the surface. I know you don't like me much, which is why you challenge me, but that's ok, and perhaps if I didn't care and could sit quietly and watch business as usual it would lessen the posting confrontations of those who dismiss that anything could be wrong that they're not seeing, but that's hard for me to do. Some in the community speculate because they use intelligence and solid research to get to that point, and while they try to add up the numbers, they don't always add up, and I would like to come into those discussions and say ... you're right, or dismiss the speculation and tell the truth, but I can't without causing trouble for people I care about, including myself. However, the one thing I can confirm is ... fairness does not exist, and it starts at the top.

One correction: there is no bashing of other forumS, there is criticism of the ownership of PCF, there is criticism of MA favoritism regarding PCF, and there is criticism of single moderation actions on PCF. There is no criticism of PCF as a whole and there is no criticism of the PCF community, and if you scroll down to the bottom of any forum page on EP you will find a link to PCF. Regarding other forums, EP staff has been helping and is continuing to support NIF, CF and RT forum (now back on ND.com) and we'd be glad to actively help AF, Monria Forum, both of which we have a friendly relation to, as well as any other community forum. Also, I don't think MA should use EP, they should not use any forum, or support any community site more than the other. They should stay neutral and simply release their info on the official channels like the "Support News" or "Latest buzz" from where everyone can fetch it. And a remark: People come here and complain about PCF because there are issues on PCF and they are not allowed to speak up there. EP is allowing criticism and so-called "negativity", so we can do little about that. However, one thing must be absolutely clear: This is NOT an EP problem, it's a PCF problem. I too don't want to read more criticism about PCF and I hope that more people more often contribute helpful, interesting, funny, whatever posts, even sales threads to EP so the "negativity" is having less weight.
