Diary?

I have a few questions about a diary/ story character /rpg.
The old entropiaforum had a section called diaries. They crapped the section and it got replaced by blog entries. Now the thing is, I wanted to make a background for my character and a blog has the new to old feature. While a storyline should be read from old to new.
I found the idea of a thread for a diary very profound, and I might be old fashioned but the blog entries and W3.0 stuff are kinda distracting and not very constructive to the story itself.
I do have found a RP section; I didn't found a creative section though; but the Roll playing forum will do just fine actually.
Only thing is; the diary section was like a thread no'one else could post in (except an admin); so you could write a fluent storyline without the interruption of other peoples post. Although they might be nice remarks and such; it kind off curses with the story you're trying to concieve.
Although I'm quite in the middle here, a blog would actually be okay too; but one should be able to read from old to new.

I'm quite in the middle here. I already thought of making a blogspot blog, from old to new with Acronoid's storyline.

Any idea's or input?
Should I make a blogspot blog and put it in my sigi? Or make a thread here? Or is there a way to fiddle with the blog settings on forum I didn't found out yet?

 

okay, nevermind. I'm a really annoying control freak and a perfectionist concerning stuff I create; so anything that I cannot fully adjust to my wishes would be sup par. To not endlessly having to annoy the staff and avoid great frustration on both sides, I just bit the bullet and made my own blog on blogspot.
While I know some ppl will like it more if I make it here; I really have to stress out that I am an unbearable perfectionist.

 

There should be a link in my signature now. Please don't be too harsh on me; it's kinda only a draft. Although her total past (atleast upto landing in New Ofxord) has already formed in my head of the last 5 years, the future is a story that is all but untold...

 

okay, stuff still coming. And Jamira; I have made another diary, under another name. But please don't look up that one. It will be the same as the start from my blog.

Also do note that although the first part will cover my past and my first years ingame; the second part will be the future. A future where you can play a role, if you do so desire. Thing is, I like interaction; like a pen and paper RPG but then instead a world we dream up together while playing EU.

I might also have another thing, I'll start next year. But I will reveal it when the time is right. For now, it is just an idea, cooking in the back of my mind.

 

Jamira, I just ran over your old sketchbook again; and it is even more beautifull than I remembered; I've got you to use some of your illustrations for my blog. Ofcourse with full reference to you and your website (do you have a website; you should really have one!)

note: I'll b releasing a post each day on my blog; I'll be preparing posts in advance, because I know that if I don't, I won't make that goal. Also, the dates are in reversed order starting from my 30th birthday, back. So if you do an RSS feed it will most likely be bugged. I'm sorry for this, but it is the only way I can get the blog itself in the right order.

again, Jamira; I'll beg you if I may use some of your pictures. Those of the umbra town (was my first sochunt) and the bilton towers. It would make me soooo happy. :)

It is not how many people are interested in keeping a diary now.
If a feature is available people will use it. There will be a couple diaries. Some will read them and have an idea of keeping a diary for themselves.
That's how it went in my case anyway. I had a total of 3 diaries. One I got deleted, the second under another forum ava and a third that was more like a blog.
Thing is, sometimes it is nice to read something else on forum, than the usual information. Sometimes it is nice to read about someone fiddling with a 3D printer ;P or seeing some pieces of art, both in picture or text. I remember there was a story about molisk on the other forum. Should check the diary section again.

Ofcourse, I have chosen to use a blogspot one now. But really, I don't think you guys would let me fiddle with the CSS on this forum. I even briefly thought of keeping a website about it. But that would be too much work, and I'm still working on a couple sites for other people.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to read some diaries, so keep those idea's comming; I feel soon we'll have a diary section here
