    Goteborg, March 31st.

    MindArk, the developer of the largest real cash economy Massively Multiplayer Online Game, announced today it is moving into the business of producing real life real estate. "We started off by testing the waters with a castle in Germany", states CEO Davide Simmonds. "That did not go as well as we hoped, but during the reconstruction, we discovered that we enjoyed selling real life real estate just as much as we enjoy selling virtual real estate. In order to further diversify our portfolio, and thus hedge our financial risks, this seems like a solid business move".

    To streamline the new business, MindArk set up yet another subsidiary company; MindArkDevelopment (MAD). Prototyping has finished, and while only one model will be available in the foreseeable future, additional estates are being designed and constructed as we speak. They undoubtedly will show some teething problems, but we expect that our customers will be wooed by this groundbreaking new technology!

    MAD released the below image of their new product, which is a garden shed:

    A second design is still being fine-tuned, as the architect is not entirely happy with the foundation of the creation just yet:

    I see one flaw in this MAD concept ... MindArk are that MAD that this MAD concept may be the next thing making their clients just that little more MAD! With all their MAD clients, I am not so sure it is as MAD as it could be .....

    I woke up wondering if EP would stay true to it's annual ritual of posting some bizarre story on the front page for April Fool's Day, and I wasn't disappointed. However, I'm afraid MAD doesn't have a chance in real life, although ... the photo that Mastermesh posted is a real life (infamous) location that turned into a tourist adventure, and now, as recent as this month, they have received a permit to allow overnight guests in what has been considered a rather strange and haunted residence.

    Yes, it's real, not a joke, although Mastermesh's photo is a great representation of what real life architecture might look like after the MAD crew gets done. :tongueout:

    With MindArk their R.C.E model it is indeed not very smart to invest the money you potentially holding for the players, be it in any investment model but the US dollar as that is their payout currency.

    Since the dollar is no save investment and most likely a few % interest is not enough for them, they are bound to other investments as they always want more money than just the money players deposited.

    Would be awesome anyway to loot real life rewards, like a ticket to real life events like a Castle meet-up that would have been possible with a castle like that. :wink:
    Remember some years ago we could loot sponsored n-vidia video cards. :whistling:
