Hey everyone, I wanted to post to see if I can get opinions from the Entropia community regarding interest in a media channel, mainly through Youtube and Twitch. In the past I ran a successful Youtube Channel dedicated to Entropia, featuring a variety of walkthroughs, "Let's Plays", guides and other videos of gameplay. At its peak there were 100k+ views and over 100 videos on the channel. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, that channel is no longer in existence, however I'm looking at jumping right back into the Entropia media with a bigger and much improved channel! (I now have a proper computer setup that can comfortably record and stream EU at max settings, as well as edit and produce high quality videos). So this brings me to the questions: 1. What would you look for in an Entropia media channel? 2. What do you find interesting when watching videos and streams related to Entropia? I'm looking to provide a wide variety of content and would love to hear what you think! Cheers :)
I think the most important thing for me for media channels is that they are not run by adventure time fans ;) - nah just kidding, good luck ^_^
well for AW I am preparing for the same thing. streams (more then just me) and how-toos are default. Also I have created a monthly or VU stream of a conversation between a few players. Sort of what MMORPG used to do every week. talk about new things, bring in special guests.
Hey hey, everyone should be up for an adventure at one point or another :P Thanks, it'll be fun to get back into EU media! Hmm I've been thinking about that as well, having a monthly discussion with players in Entropia about the current state of things. Interesting idea for sure, one that I know I'll be following up on!
idea of that here. using Xsplit to make it work is actually real easy. be glad to share with ya anything you need to know >
Yes this is exactly what I was thinking about. Good example! And thank you for the offer of help, once I get things underway I will definitely give you a shout if I run into trouble :)
Study the entropiatimes... some of the old stuff from back then may be inspiration for similar type of stuff in the future? Interviews, etc. like that is useful. Something else that would be nice is to study the social side of things more than the global type of things... Explore each city and its inhabitants. Get to know them, interview local merchants, apartment owners, etc. Perhaps a lifestyles of the rich and famous in entropia would be nice. Maybe a study of the lifestyles of the infamous might be ok too... here's some inspiration : http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...s-Entropians&p=2860555&viewfull=1#post2860555 and http://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/f...ians-Part-II&p=3065000&viewfull=1#post3065000 but... don't just focus on the biggies that everyone knows about. Focus on the little guys too. At one point in time when I owned a few places in Omegaton's Delta Tower, I had half of the estate owners in that building on my friends list, and it was nice to know them and hear their stories, both the successes and not-so-great days. That level of social life in game is pretty much gone. Rookie channel brings it back a little, but that's abused by a few spammers that for the most part most days. Gone are the good ol days. Maybe it's time to bring em back? Perhaps a media channel/outlet that focuses on local stories can help with that?
This! This would be awesome. Part of building EU is tightening the community. I would like to know who owns those random player-owned buildings we see around Entropia.
