No, I wasn't in AG before 1st May. I went there for the first time last week which was about 12th May. If you read all of my posts in this thread...
Today it worked. Cave to cave, no problems. Yesterday when I selected the cave in NI the button wasn't turning blue, today it's fine.
I have tried the cave to cave & it is NOT working, at least for me. And I have crystals.
