I promised some pictures a while ago, so here they are :) These pics are taken very near our summer house by Storforsen (one of Europe's highest untamed falls). (I will add more pictures).
Really great pictures. Beautiful countryside. :ok: Would that river flow in winter, or would that area be covered in snow and ice then?
Ohhhhh very nice. I bet it is most spactacular in winter though. Seems very relaxing and I can almost hear the sound of the rushing water. . :D
It's a reindeer (or maybe you call them caribou), a very common animal in the north of sweden, from the looks of the antlers I'd say its a bull
Ah - thanks, now I know. I knew it wasn't a Moose. Great to be able to get that close to take the pic though...
Thanks for all the comments! :D Yes, it's a reindeer in the picture. We were going to a very nice restaurant/café wich lies in the middle of the forest. Suddenly I saw this reindeer, so I had to jump out and take a picture. And yes, it's a bull :) But I was careful not to go too close because they can get dangerous when they feel threatened. The Saami people usually have their reindeers in the mountains in summer time. It happens that some reindeers "get lost behind", and stays in the forests, like this reindeer.
