IF they did sale that many and not just playing the numbers, that guy made a killing off the MA/DeepToken deal I'm guessing. Yes, there'd be up to 25 million in reserve (remember that they would keep 20%. If <100k sold, they'd keep less than 20k). This whole thing is the CLD thing all over again. OK let’s be optimistic. ;) They get their bank courtesy of the $12,000,000 from a small group of wealthy Fintech investors. They gamble on MindArk getting the bank license and see it as a relatively inexpensive way of breaking into the Swedish Banking and Credit Card system. Of course they have little or zero interest in EU other than to use their player base to seed the initial accounts and a marketing tool. Another key attraction to the investors is the Blockchain and its integration into the bank that will give them an edge over traditional banks that will need to completely change their soon to be outdated systems. Players are happier because depositing and withdrawing their cash is much quicker whereas complaints regarding poor loot and statues persist.
I am not optimistic the license application can be successful if they keep reneging on delivery of items already sold. Authorities will take past behaviour into consideration. Only if all those customers remain silent (so far they are, despite being tipped off about legal recourse) and one would think officials don't go as far as to check community forums, they might escape drawing attention to it. This would also have to apply to the investors if we really assumed they come from outside of MA.
Research, development, marketing As much as Id want to agree with your vision here...really really creative and by far not unrealistic...Id say we can all agree that this will turn out way different then expected. ,-)
